Nathan passed in between buildings, moving as fast as his legs could carry him. His spyware had pinpointed a location he had been interested in for a long time. He knew his decision to go there was impulsive and would probably cost him his life but he had to go. He needed to see things for himself.

The farther he went, the less Oxygen the air around him provided. He finally got to a point where it made no sense to continue. There was no way he would get there and back without running out of the life sustaining gas.

It was right at that point that he noticed the difference. From where he stood, the building was unmistakable. Its pyramid shaped structure towered high above the others around it. It was not an apartment complex, it was a fortress.

However, that was not the difference that bothered him. The air around him had suddenly become just the way he remembered it from Earth. There was no insufficiency in anything. The disparity made him upset. This was clearly a case of the privileged versus the masses.

"If we're rationing our resources, why do they have it in abundance here?"

There were no soldiers patrolling the area which was advantageous to Nathan's plan. However, he knew he had to be careful. There were likely to be hundreds of them within the pyramid-shaped structure that housed the authoritarian leader of the colony. He would have to rely on his experience from a life no one knew about, not even Brooke or Borgina.

Nathan took his time to catch his breath. When he got close enough to the pyramid, he noticed the array of surveillance cameras around the building's exterior. He made quick calculations to deduce their blind spots, making sure to make his advance using those routes. That worked for a short time. He looked ahead and saw the blinking red light on one of the supposed security cameras. He had seen it enough times not to know the difference. Colonel Ford had a motion sensor in place to alert him of intruders.

"Of course the sly bastard will have one of those."
