Imagine that Copeland is Ava. That's how I pictured it when I wrote it

Cole POV

"Ava, wake up, sweetie." I said, lightly shaking her. She woke up and looked at me. "Happy birthday."

She held her arms out to me, and I picked her up. She rubbed her eyes and nuzzled into my neck

"I know you're tired, but you have to stay up for a little bit."

She looked up at me with tired eyes, as if saying "Okay, Mom."

I picked out her outfit, (a black onesie, a silver-metallic tutu, and black socks,) and got her dressed. When I was done I put a black bow in her brown hair.

I picked her up and carried her down the stairs. I walked into the kitchen and set Ava down on the counter. I grabbed a sippy cup out of the cabinet and filled it with chocolate milk.

"Da," Ava said. I couldn't tell if she meant the cup or Mikey. I handed her the cup and she took a sip. "Da."

She meant Mikey. I picked her up and carried her back upstairs. I brought her into our room and set her down on the bed. She handed me her cup and crawled over to Mikey.

"Da!" She said and touched his arm. "Da!"

Mikey woke up and smiled at her. "Hey, Ava. Happy birthday, Sweetie."

"Da," Ava said. That was the only word she knew. Whatever. It was cute. She turned to me and reached her arms out. I handed her the cup. "No."

"Oh, my God. She knows more than one word." I said. She held her arms out to me. I picked her up and she smiled. "Get changed and come downstairs."

Mikey nodded and got up. I brought Ava downstairs and sat down on the couch. Ava hugged me and I smiled. Mikey walked down the stairs and sat next to me. He was wearing black skinny jeans and a black Anthrax t-shirt.

Why is he so damn sexy in skinny jeans? I thought to myself.

"I don't know. I just am." He said.

"I said that out loud, didn't I?"

"Yeah."

"I thought I was better at that."

"And you are. But sometimes you have your moments."

"I don't even want to know." I said. Mikey smiled. There was a knock at the door. Mikey went to go answer it.

I heard the door open, followed by, "Where is my niece?"

"In here, Cass." I called out. Cassie appeared in front of me, holding a purple bag. Ava looked at her and held her arms out. Cassie picked her up and set the bag on the ground. Frank walked in carrying a sleeping Payton. He set him down on the couch.

"I'll be right back," I said. I walked upstairs and went into my room. I sat on my bed and sighed.

"You okay?" Mikey asked. He was standing in front of me. I shrugged.

"I feel old."

"You're twenty-one."

"Ava's already a year old."

"Cole, you're not old," Mikey said. I looked at him and smiled. "I just realized something."

"What?"

"I haven't kissed my wife today."

"What's stopping you?" I asked. He leaned down and kissed me. He pushed me back so I was laying down. He climbed on top of me and continued kissing me.

"Really, guys. Really."

I flipped Cassie off.

"I'm not leaving until you stop," She said. Mikey pulled away and looked at me.

"I really wish she would stop doing that," He whispered.

"Me too."

Mikey smiled and stood up. I got up and looked at Cassie.

"Cass, why do you do that?"

"I'm just looking out for you."

"We're married and we have a baby."

"I know. I've just always been over-protective of you," She said.

I hugged her. "I know. And I love you for that. But, sometimes you can be a normal friend."

"Okay. I'll try to hold back on the over-protectiveness."

"Thanks."

We both walked downstairs. Ava was sitting on the floor, playing with one of her dolls. I sat on the floor with her. She looked at me with her big hazel eyes. She turned her attention back to her doll.

After a little while, Gerard and Lyn-Z arrived. Lyn-Z ran into the living room and hugged Ava. Ava smiled and laughed when she saw Lyn-Z.

"Hi, Ava."

Ava babbled some incoherent words. I smiled.

My baby's growing up.

Holy shit.

Everyone left around nine. I carried Ava upstairs and changed her into her pajamas. She yawned and I kissed her forehead. I set her in her crib and she closed her eyes.

"Goodnight."

I turned the light off and walked to my room. I changed into a Jagk t-shirt and sweat pants. I put my hair in a messy bun and sat down next to Mikey.

"What now?"

So that's the end! Sorry to end it in such a shitty place.

I had a really fun time writing this series and I seriously love all the people who read this and voted/commented. I'm sad to end it, but all great things must come to an end.

Also, today is the 6 month mark of the MCR breakup :'(

Oh, and it's my birthday....

XoXo
