18 - This Tragic Affair

I'm going to change things up a little:

Gerard POV

Calm down, Gerard.

Who am I kidding, I can't calm down. Today might be one of the biggest days of my life.

"Hey, Lyn-Z, can you come here?" I asked. I was in the living room of my apartment, Lyn-Z was in the bedroom. She was in the process of moving in. She walked out and sat down next to me on the couch.

"What's up?" She asked. I took a deep breath. Now or never, Gerard.

"Lyn-Z, um, I know that we haven't been dating for that long--well a year in a few months. But, there's something I really want to ask you."

"Yes." She said, happily and knowingly.

"You don't even know what I was going to ask you."

"Yes, I do. So, can I please just have my damn ring?" She asked, tears lightly streaming down her face. I smiled and pulled the little black box out if my pocket. I opened it and pulled out the simple ring. Lyn-Z gave me her hand and I put the ring on her finger. She kissed me, passionately.

"I have to call Mikey." I said and pulled out my phone. I dialed Mikey's number and put the phone to my ear. He answered on the second ring.

"Hey, I was just about to call you." He said. "Um, I need you and Lyn-Z to come to the hospital."

"Why? Is everything okay?"

"Um, Cole's in labor." He said.

I looked at Lyn-Z. "Okay, we're on our way." I said and hung up. "We're about to have a niece."

"Cole's having her baby?" She asked, excitedly. I nodded. She shot up from the couch and ran to the door. I grabbed my keys and we left the apartment. We got in my car and drove to the hospital.

Okay, I am SOOOOO sorry that it's really short. It's just a filler. I didn't know what else to write. I didn't want to have Gee and Lyn-Z get engaged in the last chapter, and I wanted the next chapter to be all about Ava.
