Chapter 4

The bell rang, signaling the end of lunch. Thank god that Amy & Mike were with me for the next period. I looked at my phone but I had no new mentions, maybe he's busy at school or work or wherever he is right now. I don't care anyway.

We entered the class, Amy & I sat next to each other, while Mike sat in front of us. The 3 of us chatted for a while until the bell rang & Mr Williams entered the class. The class ended in a blur & we were heading for our next class when Adam, Alicia, Megan & Steph stopped us.

"Where do you think you're going?" Adam asked, smirking.

"Class" Amy said in a 'duh!' tone.

"Not before one thing" he said, smirking this stupid smirk that never goes away.

"What do you want?!" Mike asked annoyed.

"Well,I didn't make any fun of you today,so I'm gonna start now" he said faking a sweet smile.

He grabbed Amy by her forearm & pushed her towards the lockers, then he grabbed my hair & threw me on the floor. Steph, Megan & Alicia were laughing hysterically. Mike stormed towards Adam, punching him hard in his stomach. Adam groaned loudly,stepping back.

Mike stepped closer towards Adam.

"You stay away from these girls, do you understand? I'm done being the quiet guy. If you lay a finger on any of them, you'll be done!" he shouted at Adam, making Adam's eyes wide.

Mike was never the guy to make a scene or fight with someone, but I guess he changed now. The whole school was watching us now, Mike pulled me up & helped me with the books I held in my hands. I brushed off the dust & went to check Amy's back.

"Are you alright?!" Mike asked her,concerned.

"My back hurts!" she winced.

"Come on let's take her to the nurse's office" I told Mike. When we arrived to the nurse, she hurried to us & took Amy from our hands, laid her down on her stomach & checked the bruises on her back.

"It's not bad, there's just some bruises but from before I guess & some fresh scratches, I'll stitch them & she'll be ready to go" she told Mike & I, we nodded & waited outside.

"It was very brave what you did out there" I told him, smiling proudly.

"I've had enough with the bullying, I won't let them touch me, but most important, I won't let them touch you or Amy!" he said frowning.

"Aw, that's sweet, thanks Mike." I said smiling & hugged him, he instantly hugged back. We pulled away.

"You know Jamie, you're the only one in this world that I trust, you & Amy of course. But Amy is just so nosy & it gets on my nerves sometimes." he said smiling.

"You're the only guy that I trust, even more than my father, he's always away. I don't know what he's doing in New York, he doesn't tell me anything that happens over there. So I guess that you're the only guy that I really trust." I said smiling back at him.

"I love you, Jay." he said hugging me once more.

"I love you too, Mikey." I said hugging him back. These were our first nicknames that we made up, I guess they never get old.

Our little moment was interrupted with the nurse clearing her throat.

"Excuse me, sorry to interrupt you but she's ready to go. Go home, let her get some rest today." she said smiling at both of us, when Mike hurried into the room, she turned around & winked at me. WHAT?!!
