Chapter 14

I woke up the next morning with a weird feeling in my stomach,I tried to brush it off & went to do my daily routine. After I finished,I went to the kitchen to find my mum like everyday reading the newspaper & drinking coffee "good morning" I said,kissing her cheek "good morning hun" she replied,glancing at me then looking back at the newspaper.

I made a quick & sandwich & started making my way to school,let's see what's gonna happen today. And if you're asking,no I didn't know what to say to Mike,so I'll go on this date & see where it'll lead us.

When I arrived,I found Amy standing at their car,waiting for me "hello" she said hugging me "hi" I replied hugging back. I looked around,searching for Mike "don't worry,he's waiting inside" she smirked,winking "whatever" I blushed & rolled my eyes playfully.

"But seriously,you're so cute together,yesterday after you left he spent the rest of the day smiling from ear to ear" she said,smiling at me. I blushed more "yeah,he's cute" I replied looking at the ground. I don't know why I'm being shy whenever we talk about him! I can't have any feelings for him,it's just impossible!

We entered the school to be greeted by the one & only Josh (if you still remember him,he's the new hot guy :3) "ladies" he said,hugging both of us "how are you doing today Amy?" he asked "good,thanks" she replied shortly,she wasn't a big fan "how about you J?" he asked,rolling his eyes at Amy "I'm good,how about you?" I replied smiling "great,after seeing you of course" he said winking & I giggled.

I found someone putting his arm around my shoulder,I turned around & it was Mike,I smiled at him & looked away quickly. His eyes..they kinda..they make me week? Whatever. "Oh Josh,didn't you hear? I'm going out with Jamie tonight" Mike said in an annoyed tone & gave Josh a fake smile "good for you,she's cute" Josh replied,smirking "yeah,so stop with the flirting,dude" Mike said,balling his fists.

"Okay tiger,take it easy" Josh laughed "bye J" he grinned at me & walked away. I stood there blushing like there was no tomorrow,I don't know why,but.. Eh.

"Hi Jamie" Mike smiled sheepishly "hi Mike" I replied,hugging him "okay,I'll leave you two love birds have sometime together & I'll go cath up with Lily" Amy said,leaving us standing alone. I kept thinking whether to tell him that I don't like him in that way,or leave it after the date.

I decided to tell him now,I don't want to hide it from him & I don't want him to think that I like him as more than a friend. "Listen,Mike" I started "yes?" he looked at me "about our date tonight" I said,avoiding his gaze "what? Are you excited?" he grinned "actually,I can't go out with you" I said,still avoiding his gaze.

"Why?" he whispered & I saw the look on his face,it was anger,confusion,then hurt. It pained me to see that look,but what can I do? After all I can't lie to him "because.." I didn't know what to say "because what Jamie? I thought we had something last night" he said,looking at the ground "it was just the spurr of the moment,don't get me wrong Mike" I said,trying to make him undersatnd.

"But-but I think I l-love you Jamie" he said,with his eyes watering "what.." I stuttered,I was standing speechless "is it someone else? Please tell me" he pleaded "it kinds is" I said slowly,looking at his face to see his reaction. His face redenned & he furrowed his eyebrows "who is it? Do you know where he lives? Do you know anything about him? Do you even know his NAME?!" he shouted,flialing his arms around him.

I stood there feeling guilty as ever,I didn't dare to speak,until something popped in my mind "wait a second..how do you know that I don't know his name?" I asked suspiciously "I-I,of course I know b-because" he stuttered,looking anywhere but me "answer me Michael! How did you know!!" I started shouting myself & we got the whole school watching us,but both of us didn't care.

"Fine Jamie,I'm the mystery boy,YOUR mystery lonely freak!" he shouted desperately,leaving me standing there,with my mouth nearly touching the ground & my eyes wide in shock "you..how could you fool me?" I asked,feeling my eyes brimming with tears.

"Jamie,please let me explain!" he said,grabbing my arm "explain what? How you fooled me & made me have feelings for a non existing person!" I shouted,brushing his hands off of me "no no I didn't,I swear" he said,trying to look me in the eyes "then what!!" I screamed,not caring about the bell that was ringing,signaling the start of the first period.

"I didn't know it was you at the beginning,I thought that you were a weird fangirl who thinks that Ed Sheeran is the perfect human being. So I didn't care & started to make fun of you about it,but then I saw that that girl had a nice personality,she cared about me when she didn't know me. Like when you said that I don't have friends & it hurt-ed me,you apologized even though we were fighting the entire time. The day that Amy got hit & you came over,when you slept on the couch before eating,I tweeted you & once the tweet was sent,your phone buzzed on the table. So curiousity took over me because I was being protective over you & I checked your phone to find that the tweet was from me. Later that night,I tweeted you if we can be friends & as I guessed,you agreed. Because you're too friendly & nice to reject someone. Talking to you over Twitter made me fall for you even more than I already was Jamie,because I saw a different side of you & I hope you believe & forgive me" he finished speaking,looking at me,waiting for me to say something. But of course,I stood there with no words to say.

I didn't find what to say,I wanted to scream in his face,I hated him,I didn't want anything to do with him. I fed up & didn't want him in my life anymore. If he lied once,he would lie again & he lost my trust. That was a complete mistake & he should pay for it. Pay for it by forgetting me & letting me out of his life.

"Mike,I believe you.. But this cute friendship of ours is done,you have to forget me,forget that I entered your life. Don't you dare & speak to me again. You lied to me Mike&it was a HUGE one,I can't forgive you for that. But as much as it hurts me,we're done. You're the cause Mike,so don't blame anyone but yourself. Goodbye" I said,while crying,the tears fell freely on my face & I couldn't hold them back.

His face was red & the tears were about to escape his eyes,but he sniffed,trying to hold them back "is this your final decision? Can't you give me a second chance?" he pleaded one more time "it's my final decision,you lied once & you could lie again,nothing would hold you back. This is it,bye" I said,whipping me tears & getting out of this school.. To god knows where.
