His Departure

CHAPTER 28 

KIM JOON MYEON's POV

I looked at my watch for the hundredth time, ten minutes more and the time we agreed upon to meet will come. I silently recited the speech which I practiced a while ago before coming here. I'm so nervous I might forget what i'm going to say.

"Hello Joon Myeon oppa, I hope I didn't make you wait long." She greeted and kissed me on my cheek

"No. You're just on time" I answered and smiled at her

"Is everything alright you seemed tensed?"

"Everything's fine. Shall we order now?" I suggested to divert the topic

"Okay."

"Here's your order ma'am, sir. Enjoy your meal.'' The waiter said as he served our meal

"Where do you want to go next?" I asked Alisk in between our meals

"Anywhere as long as i'm with you." She answered and smiled sweetly at me

"Then shall we go watch a movie. It's been a while since we watched one.''

"Sure, why not."

Yeah it had been a while since we had time to meet and spend time with each other for a long time. We'd been together for more than two years now. Though we've been busy with our own works we still manage to keep our relationship strong.

"Alisk I have something to tell you.'' I began, we headed in a park after watching the movie. It's night time so there's a few people around.

"What is it oppa?"

"Alisk I....."

"Tell me already oppa, you're making me nervous."

"I enlisted for three years. I'll be entering the military two months from now" I said and nervously waited for her reply but I got nothing instead she just hugged me

"Oppa..." She uttered as her shoulders shook indicating that she's crying

"Don't cry Alisk, I'll just be away for three years but I promise i'll come back for you as long as you're willing to wait for me." I said but she didn't respond and just tightened her hug

"I miss you already oppa."

ALISK ALLITHRINE's POV

I waited patiently at EXO's dressing room. Today's Suho's last performance with EXO before he'll enter the military. Today will be the last time that i'll be able to see him until his release.

"Alisk cheer up, three years will pass shortly. One day you'll wake up and baamm three years passed already and you'll be reunited once again." Chaewon unnie tried to lighten my mood

"I don't know unnie, I don't know if I can last that long not seeing him."

"Now, now Alisk don't be like that. You've been through a lot together surely you can surpass this too. Do you want to send off Suho with that gloomy face. Smile Alisk so that he'll be able to leave and enter the military not worrying too much about you."

"Thank you unnie." I said and wiped my tears as I smiled brightly at her. She's right, I should not act like this in front of Suho. besides it's not as if he'll not be coming back

As we waited Chaewon unnie retouched my make-up. Leaving no traces that I cried.

"Do your best guys, take care of yourselves and don't cause troubles. Sehun, Kai, Tao, Chanyeol and Chen refrain from pranking your hyungs. Listen to what the managers will say and stay healthy. See you guys in three years. I'll miss you." Suho oppa told his members. I almost cried once again as he gave his parting words but I tried my best to suppress my tears.

Each of the members bid him goodbye as they hugged each other. After they said their goodbye they left the room saying they'll give us some time to talk.

"Oppa I have something for you, i'll hand it to you now for I might not have time to give it to you later but open it once you're already there. Each envelope has a corresponding date for you to open it. It's cheesy and corny but I hope you'll like it." I said and handed her the box full of letters.

He didn't say a word. He just pulled me into his arms and gave me a kiss.

"Suho are you ready now, the car's waiting." Someone knocked on the door which made us pull apart.

"I'll miss you." I muttered and gave him one last hug

"I'll miss you too Alisk and I love you, always remember that."

"I love you too oppa."
