Chapter 17

Phil P.O.V

" W-What?" I say shakily.
I knew what she meant. I didn't like it. I didn't like it at all.
" I...I..."she started, she had tears streaming down her face.
I ran over and hugged her tight and she wrapped her arms around me.
She was full on sobbing now.
Of all things that could've helped her, more Kimo Therapy, medication, even shots and needles, and this is what is gonna help her? A life threatening surgery.
Ellie came over and looked at Lillian.
" They can't do anything else?" She said.
Lily shook her head hard and then buried her face back in my chest. I rubbed her back and tried to calm her down. We sat on her bed.
" Lily..." said Dan as he walked over and kneeled in front of her, still burning her face in my chest.
" You know how me and Phil do our videos. Doing the most stupid things and putting them out there for more than thousands of millions of people to see?" He says smiling slightly. She smiled and sniffed then shook her head. She sat up out of my chest. My shirts was soaked with tears. She looked at me and laughed a little.
" Sorry Phil." She said.
" It's fine, I needed a shower anyway." She laughed.
" Any way Lillian..." Said Dan and he instantly grabbed her attention.
" We aren't scared. Because it's a 50/50 chance people will laugh and thinks it funny. Like we want it too. And hate it and think we are completed idiots. But we aren't scared. "
"And you are brave. The bravest person I know. You spent 7 months in a hospital, having to take pills and medicines everyday. Getting shots deep in your skin and even have radiation in your body!" He said.
" Believe me...you are brave. And you can do this."
Lillian looked at me,then at Dan, then to Ellie then back to Dan. She smiles slightly then nodded.
" In 5 weeks time. They'll do the surgery to remove it. It is right over my my heart." She said and put her hand over her chest.
" I'll tell the doctor I'll go through with the surgery." She said. I hugged her and kissed her forehead. Dan and Ellie joined in for a group hug.
But soon after we all fell over, then laughed until we couldn't breathe.
" I swear...I could never do this without you guys. I would probably still be cowering in a corner or something." Lily said and she grabbed our hands as we stared at the ceiling.
It was gonna be ok.
