"You have no one. You are useless, worthless, and now you're alone. You deserve all the hell you've been put through; you know that, right? Maybe, once, no one will find you. Maybe you will finally be alone this time. Maybe the cold will slowly swallow you into a never- ending darkness. Then, you can join me. Don't you want to join me, Nicole?" Father whispered into my ear. I was lying on the park bench, but I didn't feel anything. I felt like I was no longer a person. I am nothingness. Am I dead? Perhaps... I don't know. If I die, will anyone care? The world won't mourn; they will probably celebrate. The world will enjoy my departure from One Direction. World, I hope you enjoy me leaving them. I will grant your wishes. I will just close my eyes, and slowly drift into death. God, take me in, or will you send me to Hell? I don't really know what I deserve...

I woke up, and saw white surrounding me. The ground was covered in a thin layer of snow, including myself. My skin looked a bit blue. I could no longer feel my body. I was so incredibly cold, that it was unbelievable. I could barely move because I was so stiff. I took a deep breath, and stood up. I had to find someone who would help me. But, everyone thinks I'm insane from the way I look. I need to find the nearest store to call someone. I felt my frostbitten feet touch the freezing pavement. I felt stabs of pain run through my body. I gasped out, and saw my breath in the air. I was so cold that I couldn't stand it. I could barely walk because my body was so frozen, and my feet were so frostbitten. I took one step, and the cold of the concrete hurt my feet. I groaned out in pain, and took another step. The cold was so bad that I collapsed on the sidewalk. Please, someone help me. I saw cars drive by, completely ignoring me. I was falling apart, and not one person even looked in my direction. Does anyone care in this world? If someone were dying right in front of them, they probably wouldn't do a thing. I lay there, freezing, as cars passed me. I didn't know who would help me. Maybe I'll just lay here and slowly die. I tried pulling myself up, but I would only walk a few feet, and fall again. I fell to the ground once more, extremely cold. As I fell to the ground, I saw someone in front of me. My consciousness was going, so I could only see them pulling out their phone. I tried to stay awake, "P-Please help m-me," I stuttered, my body trembling. She didn't say anything. She just dialed a number, and pressed their phone against their ear. I tried to listen to what she was saying, but I could barely keep my eyes open. I was so cold, that it hurt. My body was extremely numb, and looked blue from the cold. I saw the lady crouch down next to me, and say something, but I couldn't make out what she was saying. Everything was going black, and the lady's face was fading. I heard her say one last sentence to me, "Everything's going to be okay." After she said that, I blacked out.

My eyes started to flutter open. I opened my eyes to see I was in the back seat of a car. I felt warmer than before. I noticed there was an oversized coat over my shoulders. I was curled up in a ball, so the coat covered my whole body. I slowly sat up, and looked ahead. I saw two cops in the front seats. One of the cops looked back at me, and smiled, "Good, you're awake. We're taking you to the police station. A lady called, and she said she found you almost unconscious on the ground. We saw that you were nearly frozen and wearing barely anything. Could you explain what happened?"
"I-I was kidnapped," I replied, "And, I was able to escape from him."
He stared at me, shocked, "Do you know who kidnapped you?" He asked. I nodded, "Yes, my Grandfather."
"Why would he do that?" He asked, confused. It looks like I have a story to explain. I told the cop everything; from running away from Father, to meeting the boys, and to coming home to the house being ruined. I felt so embarrassed, telling my pathetic life story, but he listened the whole story, not interrupting. I finally finished, and there was silence for a minute, then he broke the silence, "People shouldn't have to suffer through this..." The cop mumbled. He looked up at me, and said the same thing that the lady said to me, "Everything will be okay."
I stared at the ground, and nodded. Everyone says that, but never is anything okay. My life falls apart in front of me, and I can't even do anything to stop it. I slowly die, and I don't have anyone there to help me. When will I be rescued from it all? Will my only salvation be death? I thought that Niall was my Prince Charming, but he only breaks me down even more. Is anyone there for me anymore?
"Once we get to the police station, maybe you could give me some more information of this man, and we can try to track him down. Does that sound good?" He asked, and I nodded, but didn't say anything. I continued staring out the window, looking at the white scenery. I saw the police station come into sight, and the car pulled into the parking lot. The cops walked out of the car, and the one cop who listened to my story, opened the door for me.
"You should probably keep the coat on," He said, "Also, I think there's some shoes back there, but they will be big on you, unfortunately, that's all we have. You will probably be able to get some clothes inside."
I nodded, and grabbed the big shoes that were in the back. I put my foot in one, and they were huge. It will have to do. I put the other one on, and then slipped the oversized coat over my shoulders. I carefully stepped out of the car, and my body was still in pain. It hurt to walk because of my frozen body. The police officer noticed my pain.
"How about I just carry you in?" He asked.
"Are you sure?" I asked. He nodded, and picked me up, bridal style, allowing the shoes to fall to the ground. The other officer grabbed the fallen shoes, and put them in the car, and shut the door.
"Would it be better if I take you to the hospital first?" He asked, "Your choice."
"No, I'd rather tell one of the boys where I am," I replied. He nodded, and carried me inside. He opened the doors, and set me down at a chair. He walked over to the front desk, and started talking to the lady quietly. I sat there, watching the people walk around. I wonder what they are going to say. I bet Niall will feel bad, or he won't care at all... I don't really know. The cop walked back over to me, "We have some clothes you can borrow for the time being. I'll take you there. He picked me up, and led me to a bathroom. He handed me an outfit, and I carefully walked over to one of the stalls. I was given a guy's sweatshirt, sweatpants, and oversized combat boots. I slipped on the loose clothes, and carefully walked out, trying to not hurt my feet. They were finally defrosting, but I know I have bad frostbite. I walked back out, and joined the police officer. He saw me, and said, "You feeling better now?"
I nodded, "Yeah."
"You know, we never introduced ourselves," He said, "I'm Officer Amato."
He stuck his hand out, and I shook it. I introduced myself, "I'm Nicole Everense."
"Well, nice to meet you," He said, grinning. I smiled back, "I wanted to say thanks for helping me."
"It's my job," He joked, "Well, you should probably call someone to pick you up."
I nodded, and he led me over to a phone. I picked it up, and dialed Louis's phone number. I listened to the ringing, and waited for him to pick up.
"Hello?" I heard Louis ask into the phone. His voice sounded frantic, and worried. Probably over me.
"Louis, it's me, Nicole," I said.
"Thank God!" he exclaimed, "I thought you were completely gone! I'm coming to get you right now. Where are you?"
"In the police station on Lincoln Street," I said, "Okay, but when are-"
"Be there in a second, bye!" Louis yelled, and hung up the phone. I guess now Louis's coming to get me.
