*Nicole's P.O.V.*

I woke up at around ten the next morning. I yawned, and sat up in my bed. I guess I should probably head out. I can take a cab to the next place. I pulled myself out of bed, and trudged over to the bathroom. I took a long shower, and then changed into a new outfit. I walked back over to the bed, and tossed my clothes in my suitcase. I zipped it up the suitcase and carried it towards the elevator, holding it by the handle. I rode the elevator down into the lobby, and checked out. I walked outside, and took a cab to another hotel.

I had been in the cab for about thirty minutes. This is far enough. I told the driver to get off at the next exit. He drove down the streets of a smaller town. This will be good to stay at; it looks barren, so not many people will be here. I looked out the window, and spotted a small hotel. I told the drive to pull up there. He did so. I paid him, and got out. I watched the taxi drive away, as I stood in front of the hotel. Well, I'll be staying here until I can get an apartment. I walked up to the door, and pushed it open. I walked in, and noticed how barren the hotel was. There was a lady at the front desk. She looked sort of bored, and was playing on her iphone. She didn't even hear me come in. The lobby had a few couches surrounding a beaten up coffee table. On the coffee table were a few outdated magazines in a stack, and a vase of wilting flowers in the center. Some old photos were hanging on the wall in crooked frames. I walked over to the front desk. I waited for the lady to speak, but she didn't look up from her phone. I cleared my throat, causing her to look up.

"Can I help you?" She asked, in a monotone voice.

"I would like a room," I replied.

"Name," She commanded.

"Nicole Everense," I answered. She looked at me suspiciously, "Have I heard of you before?" She asked. I shook my head, "No, I don't think so."

"Oh, okay," She replied, "Well, here's the key to your room." She held out the key, and I grabbed it.

"I'll need you to pay up front." I nodded, and handed her my credit card. She finished my payment, then handed it back to me, "You have Room 114."

I nodded, and wheeled my suitcase down the hall. I turned and walked down the hallway. I stopped at Room 114 and unlocked the door. I pushed open the door, and walked in. The room had a bed in the center, and a TV in front of it. On the right side of my bed was a small side table with a few brochures and an old phone on it. On the other side of the bed was a small dresser to put my clothes in. There was a bathroom connected to the room. There was also a small counter with a mini fridge and small microwave. Not bad, but I will have to admit, I'm used to the luxurious rooms that the boys get. Well, I like it. I saw a small window connected to the wall, exposing the gloomy outdoors. I couldn't have picked a more ugly and gloomy day. I tossed my suitcase on top of my bed. I don't really want to sit in my room all day, but I don't know what to do. Maybe I can walk around the hotel, and just explore. I grabbed my key, and walked out the door. I locked the door behind me, and shoved the key in my pocket. I walked down the barren, silent hallway. I walked around the corner noticing there was a small indoor pool. That will be fun later on. I walked down the hall, and started to turn a corner, when I felt myself slamming into someone. The impact caused both of us to fall to the ground.

"Ow..." They mumbled. I sat up, and looked at the person. She had light brown hair and big green eyes. She was wearing a pair of skinny jeans and a loose sweater with boots. She looked up at me, and I saw her eyes grow wide, "O-Oh, I'm so sorry!" She immediately jumped up, and helped me up, "It was all my fault! I should've looked where I was going!"

"No, it was my fault, too. I wasn't paying attention," I replied, while she pulled up.

"Oh, I should introduce myself!" She exclaimed, "I'm Aislinn Rosen."

"Nice to meet you, I'm Nicole Everense," I replied.

"So, did you just arrive here?" Aislinn asked. I nodded, "Yeah, I checked in about five minutes ago. What about you?"

"I've been here for two weeks now. Barely anyone comes here. Makes sense, it's the middle of February," She answered.

"Why have you been here for two weeks?" I asked, curiously. Aislinn pushed her hair away from her eyes, "Oh, well I'm staying here until I can raise enough money for my own apartment. I got a job around a week and a half ago, so I'll be able to get an apartment soon, hopefully."

"Where are you working?" I asked, "I'm also looking for a job to help me get money for an apartment."

"It's this restaurant across the street called La Piazza. It's an Italian restaurant. I recommend you for a job if you want," Aislinn suggested. I grinned, "That would be great."

"Well, I better be going, see you around?" She asked.

"Of course, bye Aislinn!" I replied. She smiled, and waved as she left. Wow, I've already met someone nice. How lucky am I? I walked back to my own room, and unlocked it. I walked in, and plopped down on my bed. Well, there was a pool in this hotel. Why don't I try it out? I walked into the bathroom, shutting the door behind me. I stripped off my clothes and slipped into my swimsuit. It was the same one I wore when I went on vacation with the boys, Marie, Rachel, and Eleanor. That brought back more memories. I remember having fun with Niall, getting hit on, Harry saving me, and then a jealous Niall. Why does every memory lead to something bad? I sighed, and threw on a pair of shoes. I was about to leave when I looked down. I saw my scars covering my stomach. I can't go out in public having those showing. I grabbed a random T-shirt and threw it over my swimsuit. I only need to wear it until I reach the pool. I walked out the door, locking the door behind me. I walked down the hallway, and over to the pool. I opened the door, and walked in. I was welcomed by a blast of warm air. I saw the bright blue water of the pool reflecting on the glass windows. I walked over to a pool chair and slipped off my shoes. I slipped off the T-shirt. I started to walk over to the edge of the pool, when I heard the door slam open. I turned around, and saw a shocked- looking Aislinn. She gasped, and pointed to my stomach. Crap, she can see all my cuts!

"You cut?" She asked. I felt my face grow red, "U-Um... I-I..."

"No need to be embarrassed," Aislinn replied. I ran my fingers through my hair nervously, while I bit my lip, "Well, y-yeah, I used to cut."

"I know what it's like," She replied. I frowned, as my arms fell back to my side, "What do you mean?"

"Well, I know what you mean because I also used to cut," Aislinn said.
