I felt the drink roll down my throat, and I enjoyed the taste. I looked over at Marie who was now talking to someone else. I quickly took another drink. After a few minutes, the can was halfway finished. I looked over at Marie, who had only about one sip of her drink. Now, the beer had become addictive. I felt like I couldn't get enough. I drank some more of the drink, until the can was empty. I have to get more.

I stood up, and was about to walk over to the kitchen when Marie stopped me, "Where are you going?" She asked me.

"Just over to the kitchen," I answered. Marie shrugged, "Okay."

I walked away from Marie and back over to the kitchen. I could see that the crowd of football players had scattered, and now the table was covered in a couple cans. I immediately grabbed one and opened it. I put the can up to my lips, and quickly took a sip. I felt my vision starting to get blurry, as the alcohol took its affect. Within a few minutes, I had already finished my second can. My head wasn't thinking about how this was bad for me. I was only thinking about having more. That is all I wanted. I grabbed another can, and opened it. It took me about a minute to open, because I was becoming uncoordinated. I opened the can, and took another drink.

"Nicole, you drink?" Rain asked, as she walked over to me. I immediately looked up from my drink at her, "O-Oh, only a little," I replied, my voice slurred. Rain frowned, "Really? Because your voice is slurred."

"I'm fine," I mumbled, trying to avoid her.

"How many have you had?" She asked me. I shrugged, "I don't know...."

"Yes you do," She replied, "Tell me now."

I looked at the can, beckoning me to take another drink. I stopped myself for a moment, "Um... Almost three..."

"Okay, you seriously need to stop," She said, starting to take the can away from me. I grabbed it out of her hand, "No, I'm fine!" I exclaimed. Rain frowned, "Um, you're worrying me, Nicole..."

"I'm nineteen, I'm allowed to drink," I answered, "It's not like I'm disobeying the law or anything."

"Fine, whatever," Rain replied. She walked back over to the others, while I stayed in the kitchen. I continued drinking the beer. I glanced back over to Rain, and realized I could barely see her. Everything was getting really blurry, but I didn't want to stop. The alcohol's taste was so addictive, and its affects, even better. I felt like I was alive, like no one would judge me. I could do what I want, without having to worry first. I found myself drinking another beer, and then I grabbed another. I took a sip out of the new can.

I looked forward, and thought that I saw Niall. He was sitting by what appeared to be Rain. Why is Niall here? I'm so confused... I have to talk to him.

I carried the beer in one hand, and walked over to Niall. His hair seems darker than usual. Well, he hasn't been bleaching it as much, so maybe because my vision is blurry and I think his hair is completely brown. I walked over to him, and he looked at me confused, "Nicole?"

I grabbed his hand, and pulled him up, so he was standing. He looked at me confused, "What are you doing?" He asked. I leaned closer to him, "Just giving you what you want," I whispered into his ear. His eyes grew wide, "H-Huh?"

I grabbed his collar, and pulled him down to my height. I forcefully pressed my lips against his. I didn't waste any time in intensifying the kiss. I shoved my tongue into his mouth, and continued to violently kiss him.

Suddenly, I felt someone pulling me off of Niall.

"Get off of him!" I heard someone yell. I was pushed down to the ground. I looked up to see Rain staring at me, furious.

"What the hell are you doing, Nicole?!" She yelled.

"W-What?" I mumbled, my voice slurred. I saw someone walk over to Rain, and talk to her quietly, "She's just drunk, I'll just get her out of here."

I could see a blond girl, helping me up. I think that's Marie, but I'm having trouble telling. I noticed that my drink had fallen out of my hand, and spilled all over the floor.

"I-I'll just go get a new drink..." I mumbled, starting to stumble towards the kitchen. Marie grabbed my arm, "There is no damn way I'm letting you get more."

"Why not?!" I asked, angrily. Marie looked at me surprised that I didn't know why, "You're drunk! You aren't having any more!"

"I want more of it!" I yelled at her, trying to escape her grasp. I was too uncoordinated to even pull her hand off of my arm.

"I'm taking you home," Marie angrily muttered under her breath. Then, I realized what was going to happen. Niall would be furious. I promised him that I wouldn't do anything bad. I just got drunk at a party. But, wait, isn't he already here.

"But, Niall is already here..." I mumbled, "I just kissed him..."

"No!" Marie protested, "You just made out with Chase!"

I looked at her with a blank expression on my face. I tried to think of who that was. Oh, he's that one friend of mine. So, Niall doesn't know?

"I-I can't go home!" I argued, immediately trying to escape Marie's firm grasp.

"And, why not?" Marie asked me, tightening her grip on my arm. I continued struggling, "B-Because Niall will b-be really mad at me!"

Marie grew silent for a minute, understanding my point, "You have to go, Nicole. I'm sure Niall won't be too mad."

"You don't understand!" I cried. Suddenly, I felt tears starting to well up in my eyes, "He's going to be furious. I promised him I wouldn't d-do anything bad. And, I went and g-got drunk! I promised him I wouldn't do that again!" That's when the tears started to fall, "H-He's going to be s-so mad! Please don't take me back! I don't want him to yell at me! P-Please!"

I now was sobbing, and I could see everyone staring at me. I didn't care. I couldn't let Niall find out. Marie sighed, "Okay, I won't take you home. But, I'm not letting you continue to drink or anything like that. So, I'll just text Niall and tell him you're staying at my apartment for the night."

"B-But, he'll want to know why," I replied.

"Then, I'll tell him that you were really tired and weren't feeling well and didn't want to drive home," Marie replied.

"What if he suggests to pick me up?" I asked Marie, starting to dry my tears.

"Then, I'll just say that you're already asleep in the car," Marie replied, "Now let's go."

I nodded, and Marie started to lead me towards the door. I was walking behind Marie. We were about to turn the corner, and I didn't realize someone was also turning the corner. Suddenly, some guy accidentally ran into me, and the back of my head hit the wall behind me. I could see black spots entering my vision, and everything went black.

I woke up the next morning in some unknown room. I sat up to notice that I was laying on top of someone's bed in someone's room. Where am I?

I felt my head pounding, instantly reminding me of all the events of last night. I groaned, and ran my shaky fingers through my curly hair, which was now pretty tangled. Suddenly, I felt my stomach rising to my throat. I looked to the right to see an available bathroom. I ran to it, and threw open the toilet seat. I vomited into the toilet. My stomach felt absolutely horrible, and my mouth now had a horrible taste in it.

"So, you're finally awake?" I looked up to see Evan in the doorway. He didn't look too happy with me, "When did you ever drink?" He asked me. I pulled my head away from the toilet, "U-Um, I've only drank once, this is now my second time."

"But, I thought you wouldn't ever do that!" Evan exclaimed, "Why did you do it the first time?"

"I-I thought it would get rid of my problems..." I muttered, embarrassed of the stupid reason. Evan glared at me, "And, I assume it didn't work."

"Not really...." I mumbled, "Niall sent me to therapy..."

"I thought you would never drink," Evan mumbled. I frowned, "Why would you think that?"

"Because your Mom and Josh died in a car crash with a drunk driver," Evan said, his voice serious. That made me fall silent, thinking about it. Evan is right. If I continue this, I could cause another death. I could become like Father. I don't ever want to be like that.

"I-I'm sorry," I muttered. Evan nodded, "It's okay. Oh, and Marie says she can drive you home."

My eyes grew wide, "I-I can't go home!"

"It's fine," Evan replied, "Marie texted Niall and told him that you spent the night at her house... Well, actually you passed out at my dorm, but he doesn't have to know that. He won't know what really happened. Marie also told him that you got sick, and have the flu, so he'll think that you're sick, not hungover."

I sighed, "I guess so, but I'm not drunk anymore, so I'll just drive home on my own."

"Okay," Evan replied. He helped me up off the bathroom floor. I stood up and Evan led me over to the front door. His dorm was a mess, but there was no one here, but Marie.

"Oh, you're up," She said, "Do you want me to drive you home?"

I shook my head, "No, I'm fine. I can drive on my own."

Marie nodded, and continued texting on her phone. Evan led me over to the front door. I looked up at him nervously, "U-Um, I am so sorry about all that."

"Just promise me to never do that again," Evan commanded. I nodded, "I won't. I've learned my lesson."

"Well, okay," Evan replied, "See you Monday. Bye."

I waved good bye, and walked out the door. I walked over to my car, and unlocked it. I climbed in. I started up the car, and drove away from campus. I turned on the radio, trying to drown out my thoughts. Will Niall notice? I pray to God that he never finds out about the drinking at the party. I know he'll get so mad at me....

I turned the corner, and realized that I was already on the street to our house. The car pulled into the garage, and I climbed out. Let's hope that this plan works. I got out of the car, and opened up the door to the house.
