Niall opened up the car door to the passenger's seat for me. I carefully got in, and sat down. Niall quickly started the car up, and pulled the car out of the driveway. The car started driving down the road. I stared out the window, trying to distract myself from the pain running through my stomach. I bit down on my lip, until I could practically taste blood. I shifted my position, causing a new stab of pain. I gasped out in pain.

"Sh, it's okay," Niall whispered to me. He reached one of of his hands down to grab mine. I held onto his hand, trying to make the pain slip away. Whenever I would feel pain, I would squeeze Niall's hand, hoping that somehow that would make the pain go away.

Niall was paying attention to me for a moment, and not the road. He realized that the light turned red. He quickly slammed on the brakes, causing the car to jolt forward. My body flew forward, but was stopped by my seat belt. The seat belt had pressed against my stomach, causing many new stabs of pain. As the car stopped, something else hit the back of the car. There was a loud noise from something hitting the car.

"Damn it..." Niall angrily muttered under his breath. He glanced over at me to see the pained expression on my face. The pain was growing even more extreme. It was nearly unbearable. Niall's hand was still in mine. I squeezed his hand tightly, hoping that it would distract me from the pain in my stomach. I felt a few warm tears rolling down my cheeks.

"It's okay baby," Niall whispered, comfortingly, "Don't cry-" Niall was interrupted by knocking on his window.

"Shit..." Niall cursed under his breath. He let go of my hand, so he could turn to face the window. Niall rolled down the window, exposing an angry-looking business man.

"What is your problem, kid?!" The man angrily yelled.

"Look, I'm sorry-" Niall began. The guy interrupted, "The way you stopped at the light caused my car to accidentally hit yours. The impact caused the front of my car to dent inward!"

"My girlfriend is in a lot of pain and I need to take her to a hospital-" Niall began, but but once again was interrupted by the man, "Nice excuse kid. Why don't we take this outside?"

"If I just pay you now, can I leave?" Niall begged. The man shook his head, "No, I have to get insurance involved and-"

"Fine, I'll take this outside," Niall replied, annoyed by the guy. He was hoping that it would be faster that way. Niall stepped out of the car, to talk to the man. Niall shut the door behind him, and stepped onto the sidewalk.

I watched through the window as they talked. Pain was still shooting through my stomach. I lifted my shirt up halfway, so I could see my stomach. The bruise had now doubled in size, and the color was even darker. I grimaced at its appearance. I nervously glanced over at Niall, who was arguing with the man now. I really need to get help, and I don't think Niall can take me. I pulled out my phone, and went to my contacts. I searched for Liam's number, and found it. I pressed call, and put the phone up to my ear. The phone started ringing.

"Hello?" Liam asked into the phone.

"Liam, it's me, Nicole," I said into the phone, my voice strained.

"Nicole?!" He exclaimed, "Where are you?!"

I looked at the street sigh, "Um, at the end of East Main Street in Niall's car."

"What are you doing?" Liam asked, confused.

"Well, we were going to the hospital," I answered.

"Why?"

"My stomach is having bad pains and it's bruising from only minor injuries," I answered, "Niall was going to take me to the hospital, but he's sort of in an argument with an angry business man who crashed into our car."

"Okay..." Liam muttered. I can imagine the confused look on his face, "SO, you want me to pick you up and take you to the hospital?"

"Yeah," I replied, "Thanks Liam."

I hung up the phone, and shoved it in my pocket. Pain was once again erupting through my stomach. I clenched my fists together so hard that my nails were digging into my skin. I watched Niall and the man arguing as I sat in the car in pain. I silently waited for Liam to arrive. After about ten minutes, Liam arrived. He parked his car behind Niall and the business man's cars.

"What are you doing here?" Niall asked Liam.

"Nicole called me," Liam answered. Niall had a look of shame on his face, because he hadn't been able to take me over himself, "No, I can go now!"

"No you can't!" The man argued, "We haven't settled our problem yet!"

"My girlfriend needs to go to the hospital!" Niall yelled. After that, it went into another argument. Liam shrugged, and walked over to me. He opened up the car door for me, and helped me out. We walked over to Liam's car, and he helped me into the passenger's seat. Liam got in on the other side, and drove me to the hospital.

Liam and I arrived at the hospital, and we walked in.

"I'll go fill out the paperwork, you just go sit down," Liam said. I nodded, and sat down at one of the couches. Liam walked back over to me, "We have a bit of a wait. You might as well rest."

Liam sat in the chair beside me, while I laid on the couch. After a few minutes, I fell asleep.
*

I woke up in the middle of an open field. The sun was shining down upon me, and their was a small breeze brushing through the grass. I was wearing a flowing white dress, and my feet were bare. I sat up, and looked around. All I could see was grass for miles. I slowly pulled myself up, so I was standing. My dress and hair blew in the wind. I took a few steps forward, waiting for something to happen. Something that would tell me what to do.

"Nicole?" I heard someone's voice quietly ask. The voice blew away with the wind. I took a step forward, listening closer.

"Nicole?" The voice was a little louder. Wait, is that Liam?

"Liam?" I asked.

"Nicole?" Liam asked. I started to run towards the voice, "Liam?!" I yelled.

"Nicole!?" Liam's voice was louder. I started sprinting across the grass field. My feet pounded against the grass, as I ran, "Liam?!" I yelled. I didn't hear a reply, but kept running. Suddenly, I heard a large bang noise, and a huge pain in my stomach. The impact caused me to fall to the ground. I realized that I had been shot in the stomach. Blood poured out of the deep wound Right before everything went black, I could see his face. It was the rapist. I blacked out while screaming.
*

"Nicole, stop screaming!" I heard Liam beg, as I started to wake up. I then noticed that I had been screaming, and finally stopped. I heard Liam sigh as I opened my eyes. When I woke up, I could feel that my body was in a ton of pain. Liam understood my pained expression, "Um, you sort of fell off of the couch... Onto your stomach."

"G-God, it h-hurts," I stuttered, as I attempted to catch my breath. Liam helped me up, "You appointment is now, so we can go."

We walked towards the door, and I could feel everyone staring at me, because of my little episode. Liam helped me over to the doctor's room. We walked in, and the doctor was sitting down. He greeted us, and told me to have a seat on the bed. I sat down, and the doctor told Liam he could go. Liam left, leaving me alone with the doctor.

"Now, what seems to be the problem?" He asked me.

"I'm having a horrible pain in my stomach and bruising on the outside of my stomach," I told him.

"Can I lift your shirt up, so I can see?" He asked. I nodded, and lifted up my shirt, exposing the massive bruise. He motioned for me to lay down, so I did that. He examined my stomach, closely. He carefully touched my stomach, causing me to wince in pain. I saw the doctor staring at the stitches, "Did you get stitches recently?"

"Yes, after I was stabbed in the stomach," I answered. I saw the doctor's eyes widen at what I said, but he didn't say anything.

"Well, it looks like the stitches weren't done properly," He told me, "They have caused a severe infection on your stomach."

"W-What?" I asked, nervously.

"We'll have to fix up the stitches and examine your stomach to find the root of the problem," The doctor said, "You'll just have a small surgery, and you'll be on your way. It's that easy."

I nodded, feeling somewhat reassured. Thankfully, this was nothing serious.
