Another long week has passed by. Each day I visit Nicole in the hospital. I also see Ella there every day. Each day she tries to make me happy, and it actually works. She's the one keeping me out of depression.
I'm beginning to get worried that Nicole won't ever wake up. There is a high chance that could happen. The doctor's say that there hasn't been any problems with her so far, so that's good. But, what if she stays asleep forever?
I pulled myself out of bed and took a quick shower. I threw on an outfit and walked downstairs to the kitchen. I saw that Zayn and Rachel were sitting at the couch.
Rachel had been staying at our house for the last few days. She's close to her due date, and the baby should be coming any time soon. I can tell they're both nervous about it. They both prepared themselves completely. They have suitcases prepared in Zayn's room and they know exactly what to do.
Zayn is so nervous about it. He doesn't ever say, but you can tell. If Rachel says anything about her stomach, or feeling weird, he'll jump up and start getting nervous. He'll yell about having to go, and then Rachel will calm him down and tell him that she isn't going into labor. Zayn is so stressed out about the whole issue. Thankfully, he has Rachel to keep him calm.
I walked over to the kitchen, mumbling good morning's to Rachel and Zayn. I grabbed some cereal, and poured myself a bowl. I sat down at the counter, and began to eat breakfast.
Rachel and Zayn were sitting at the couch watching TV, so when I finished, I sat at another couch and watched TV with them. After a few minutes, Rachel interrupted.
"Z-Zayn," She whispered. I glanced over to see a nervous expression on her face. Rachel was tightly clenching Zayn's hand and her free hand was placed on her large stomach. I saw Zayn's eyes widen, and he jumped up.
"I-Is the baby coming?!" Zayn exclaimed loudly. I saw Rachel nod, "The baby is coming. I'm going into labor."
Zayn was now really frantic. I was surprised by Rachel's calmness. Zayn was frantically helping her off the couch, while Rachel just followed after Zayn, doing everything he said.
"Niall!" Zayn exclaimed, causing me to get off the couch, "What?" I asked.
"Go get the suitcases and start up the car, you're driving us to the hospital," Zayn said. I nodded, then rushed upstairs. Zayn continued to try and comfort Rachel... But, I think he was only comforting himself. Rachel already was pretty calm.
I ran up to Zayn's room. I spotted the suitcases in the side of the room. I quickly grabbed both, and ran downstairs with them. Zayn was now helping up Rachel.
"Breath in, breath out, breath in, breath out," Zayn commanded Rachel, while tightly holding her hand. Rachel frowned, "Are you saying that to me, or yourself, Zayn?"
"U-Um, a little bit of both," Zayn replied, truthfully. Zayn turned over to me, "Do you have everything?"
"Yeah, I'll just drive you over," I replied, remaining as calm as Rachel. I walked ahead of them, so I could start up the car. I got in the driver's seat, and watched Zayn and Rachel walk out of the house. Zayn opened up the car door for Rachel and helped her in. Zayn went in after her, and closed the door behind them.
"Ready to go?" I asked.
"Yes, hurry!" Zayn exclaimed, nervously. I saw Rachel hold onto Zayn's hand, "Calm down, Zayn. It will be okay."
I laughed, "Nice once, Zayn. Now you have the pregnant lady comforting you!"
"Shut up," Zayn muttered. I pulled out of the driveway, and started driving down the road, "I guess we'll be going to the same hospital as Nicole," I told them, mostly talking to myself. I drove down the street.
As I drove, Zayn was talking to Rachel. I could hear Rachel trying to keep her breathing even. She had one hand rested on her large stomach, and the other had a death grip on Zayn's hand.
"We're here," I announced, once I had pulled the car into the hospital parking lot. Zayn quickly got out of the car, and then helped out Rachel. I got out, and led them across the parking lot.
I knew that a few people were staring at us, as we walked. They probably knew who Zayn and I were, but didn't have the guts to say it. Especially since Zayn was leading a pregnant Rachel towards the hospital.
We walked in, and I was the one who went to the front desk.
"Um, my friend's girlfriend is in labor," I awkwardly told her, unsure of how to word it. The lady glanced over at her, "I'll get help to lead her to a room to have the baby."
I saw another nurse come over to help Rachel. A wheelchair was wheeled over, so she could sit in it. Zayn followed behind her, as she was wheeled away.
I watched them leave, so Rachel could have the baby. I pulled out my phone. I guess I better call the boys over here.

*Zayn's P.O.V.*
I followed behind the nurse, as she quickly wheeled away Rachel.
I am so nervous. Soon, I will actual be a Father. I will have my own child. My own son. I don't want everything to be messed up. I'm so nervous that something will happen to our child.
The nurse pushed open the door to a room. Rachel was rushed in, and had to quickly change into a hospital gown. The nurse helped her onto the bed, and then the nurse left to go get the doctor.
I quickly walked over to Rachel's side. She had sweat beading on her forehead. She grabbed my hand and tightly gripped it. I squeezed it back, in a way to tell her that it's going to be okay.
"Please... S-Stay with me," She stuttered out. I smiled at her, reassuringly, "Of course, Rachel."
The doctor came back in, with the nurse.
"Can you give her the pain-reliever shot?" He asked the nurse. She nodded, and quickly grabbed the shot. She walked over to the opposite side of me, and prepared herself to inject the needle into Rachel's arm.
Rachel bit her lip and squeezed my hand tighter, as the needle was slowly injected into her arm. The needle was pulled out, and Rachel looked relieved.
"Time to prepare her for pregnancy," The doctor said. Another nurse came in, and they helped get Rachel ready. I kept my hand tightly gripped with Rachel's the whole time. Her breathing was shaky, so I tried to calm her down.
"It will be okay, love," I whispered. She nodded, as she bit her lip, "O-Oka-ay," She stuttered out.
The doctor was helping out Rachel, preparing her for when the baby would begin to come out. God... This must hurt like hell.
Rachel was now gripping my hand so hard, that my own hand was starting to hurt. Her breathing was louder, and more shaky.
"Okay, the baby is coming into sight," The doctor loudly announced. I felt anxious and excited at the same time. I'm so excited to finally see my long-awaited son. I was nervous, that something bad would happen to him during pregnancy.
"Son, come here and help," the doctor told me, motioning for me to come and help get the baby out while comforting Rachel.
I walked over, and saw a pretty unpleasant sight. Let's just say it wasn't pretty. My eyes popped out when I saw it.
"Come here and help," The doctor said more sternly. I walked over, my legs felt like bricks. This wasn't exactly what I was prepared for. I felt my stomach starting to rise to my mouth.
I will not puke. I will not puke. I kept repeating that to myself, hoping that somehow it would help out.
"What are you doing?!" The doctor exclaimed, staring at my odd expression. I had a look of horror and disgust.
"U-Uh, I-I think I'm gonna get... sick," I stuttered out.
"Fine, just comfort Rachel," The doctor replied, annoyed that I couldn't handle the pregnancy. I quickly walked back over to Rachel, the vomit not rising up.
I tightly grasped her hand, and helped her with breathing. The nurse rushed over to the doctor's side, and started helping him.
I was so glad to not be at the front side again.... I guess I wasn't mentally prepared for that....
"Breath in... Breath out.." I told Rachel, repeating the same words. I watched her chest heave upwards, then down, as she tried to calm her breathing. She looked like she was in tons of pain, and I felt bad that I couldn't really help out.
"Z-Za-ayn?" She stuttered out, as she tried to control her breathing.
"What is it, Rachel?" I asked her.
"I-It h-hurts s-so mu-uch!" She exclaimed.
"It'll be over soon," I comforted her. Her face was tense and strained from the pain.
"Shouldn't the pain reliever be working?" I asked the doctor and nurse.
"Her pregnancy is more difficult than we thought," The doctor told me, while trying to help Rachel.
"Huh?!" I angrily exclaimed.
"It looks like the placenta is detaching from the wall of the uterus," the doctor explained.
"What the hell is that supposed to mean?" I angrily cussed.
"The baby is stuck," the doctor frantically exclaimed, "And, the cervix isn't dilating properly. This is really bad. Call in some more nurses!"
The nurse rushed out, and called for help.
"I-I don't understand what's going on!" I exclaimed.
"If the baby doesn't come out now, Rachel will keep trying to get the baby out, until it is out of the cervix. This could end badly is the baby isn't removed as soon as possible."
