I Never Thought I'd Find A Love Like This

Chapter 5

Alex's POV

I'm so glad Mitchie came into the classroom when she did. I don't know what would have happened if she wouldn't have been there. While she's driving a look over at her. She's so beautiful. I'm not even going to try and deny my thoughts about her anymore. When she hugged me earlier I felt so safe in her arms, and that's something I have never felt before. I trust Mitchie even though I barely even know her. I got butterflies when she held my hand too, it was a comforting feeling though. We get to our street and Mitchie pulls her truck into her driveway. I look out the window at my house and see my mom in the kitchen window.

"Shit," I say while ducking down in the seat.

"What's wrong?," Mitchie asks with a look of concern on her face.

"My mom will absolutely kill me if she sees I skipped out of the last class."

"We'll hurry, she won't see you. Come on."

We get out of Mitchie's truck and bolt for her front door. Mitchie unlocks it hurriedly and we go inside.

"Wanna go up to my room?," Mitchie asks.

"Sure," I say giving her a smile. She smile back at me and starts up the stairs. God she has an amazing smile.

"It's a little messy," she says while looking around the room.

"A little?," I ask giggling.

"Oh hush! I'm not a very neat person," she says laughing.

"Clearly."

"So you wanna watch a movie? There's a tons over there on the shelf," she says while pointing to a shelf covered in DVDs.

"Sure," I respond walking over to check out her movies. Wow she does have a lot. I scan over the movie titles and spot my favorite movie Insidious. I walk over to Mitchie and hand it to her.

"Wow, a scary movie huh?"

"Yep, they're my favorite. Especially that one," I say.

Mitchie walks over to her TV and puts the movie in. She sits down and moves to the middle of her bed leaning against her headboard. She looks up at me and pats the spot beside her. I sit down and lean against the headboard the same way she is. The movie starts and I start feeling anxious. I do get scared of horror films, but I love the feeling of being scared. If that makes any sense. I move over a bit closer to Mitchie as the scary parts start coming up. She looks over at me and smiles then turns back to watch the movie again. I don't know what came over me, but I felt a desire to lean over and kiss her on the cheek. I leaned over towards her and placed a soft peck on her right cheek. I pulled back to see her looking into my eyes. I smiled at her and looked down at the bed. I felt her hand under my chin and she pulled my face back up to look into my eyes. She leaned forward and placed her lips on my forehead. I closed my eyes and sighed loving the feeling of her soft lips touching my skin. She pulled back and pulled me into her. I laid my head on her shoulder and placed my arm around her waist. One of her arms was around my shoulders and she was running her fingers up and down my arm. Her other arm was around my waist holding me close. I could really get used to this feeling.

Mitchie's POV

From the outside I may look calm, but I am freaking out on the inside. In a good way of course. I was completely caught of guard when I felt her kiss my cheek. I was not expecting that at all, but having her in my arms like this is the best feeling in the world. We've only known each other for two days, but this just feels right. I laid my cheek against the top of her head until the movie ended.

"You feeling better?," I ask.

"Yeah, thank you," she says looking up at me.

"You're welcome," I say smiling down at her. God she's so beautiful. "You wanna go get your car?"

"Can we just stay here a little bit longer," she says grabbing my hand.

"Yeah, of course," I tell her. I slide down into the bed pulling Alex with me. I would stay just like this all night if she wanted to.

"Mitchie?"

"Yeah?"

"You're an amazing person."

I smile and look into her eyes. "So are you," I whisper to her brushing a few strands of hair out of her eyes.

She smiles at me and kisses the tip of my nose. Can she get any cuter? I bring my hand up to her cheek and rub her face with my thumb. She sighs and closes her eyes while bringing her forehead against mine.

"I'm not good at these things," she says so quietly that I barely make out what she said.

"It's okay, is this too much?," I ask her worriedly moving my head back and looking into her eyes.

"No, this is perfect," she says smiling.

"You have a gorgeous smile," I tell her.

"Thanks. So do you," she responds.

I hear a phone vibrating and Alex sits up pulling her phone out of her pocket and answers it.

"Hello....yeah I'll be home soon, mom. Bye." She hangs up and looks back at me and says,"I guess I better get home."

"Let's go get your car," I say as we get off the bed.

I drive us back to the school and put my truck in park beside Alex's car.

"See you in a few," she says leaning over and kissing my cheek.

I follow her out of the parking lot and back to our houses. We both pull into our driveways and get out of our cars. I take Alex's backpack to her and say, "Here ya go."

"Thank you. For everything you did today. I had a nice time after what happened earlier."

"You're welcome. I had a good time too. Here, let me give you my number." We hand our phones to one another and enter our numbers.

"I'll text you later," she says. I put my hands on her waist and pull her into me wrapping my arms around her. She wrapped her arms around my neck hugging me back. I can feel her hot breath on my neck and it's driving me crazy. I just wanna kiss those soft lips of hers, but I don't think that would be a good idea. It's way too soon for that.

"Goodnight," she says into my neck.

"Goodnight," I say pulling back. I watch as she makes her way to her front door and waves to me. I wave back then turn around and go inside my house. I can't believe my parents aren't home yet, they've been out of town for almost a week now. It's cool being home alone but after awhile it gets boring. so I decide to text Alex.

M: Hey

A:Hey, what's up

M:just laying in bed, you?

A:same lol

M:I'm so bored, my parents have been gone almost a week

A:awh where are they?

M:out of town for something

I look around my room for the remote and spot it on my dresser beside the TV. I get up to go get it and glance out the window and see Alex laying in bed. She looks over and sees me and gives me a smile. I smile back and feel my phone vibrate.

A:Our rooms are right next to each other :)

M:haha yeah :)

I wave and she waves back then I lay back in bed and turn on the TV.

A:Well I think I'm gonna head to bed. I'll see you in the morning :)

M:Okay :) do you wanna ride to school together tomorrow?

A:yeah! I can drive since you brought me home and back to school to get my car today

M:sounds good! :) goodnight Alex
