We came to a small field covered in cherry blossoms. He grabbed my hand and sprinted to the center. When we arrived I realized that we had come to a small circle shaped clearing of space and everything else was covered with cherry blossoms.

He dragged me over to what appeared to be a small pond.
"It's not as beautiful as the other place you showed me but it's a nice place."
I smiled and hugged him.

"This place is gorgeous!" I exclaimed.
His face lit up and he smiled. "Y-you like it?"

I nodded. "I've also needed time to think and relax...so I'd come here." He said. We were silent for a minute.
L walked somewhere else and it was pitch black.

"L-Lawliet where are you!" I yelled.
He laughed. "Scared of being out alone out in the dark?" He bantered. I was lucky it was so dark out because my face burned red.
"N-no I just don't want you to leave!"
He hugged me from behind and I jumped. He laughed.

"I can imagine how red your face would be right now." He laughed even harder.
"My face isn't red!" I said even though it wasn't convincing at all.
"Are you saying that I, the worlds greatest detective is lying?"
"S-shut up!" I stuttered.

"You can't tell me that, I'm L."
He was laughing so hard that he didn't even notice when I slipped out of his arms till a few seconds after.
"Huh...(Y/n)? where'd you go?"

"I'm standing right in front of you."
I groaned. He hugged me again.
"Fine. I'll stop teasing you...for tonight."
He grinned and I pouted. He took out his flashlight and shined it on my face
"You're bright red (Y/n)." He laughed and I quickly took his phone and put it into my jacket pocket.

"You'll get it back tonight." I said as my blush faded.
He grinned at me while trying to hold back laughter.
"I'm not a child (Y/n). Give it back."
I grinned. "No."
He sighed.

"I'll take it back by force if I have to."
"I'm terrified." I said sarcastically.
He wrapped in arms around my waist and he put his face so close to where we were nose to nose.

"What are you-" he smiled.
"I've been wanting to tell you something." I could barely make out his face but I could see his eyes.
He locked eyes with me and I was in a trancelike state.

"Hmm?" I asked. He slowly moved his hands towards my jacket.
"I've wanted something from you."
He said persuasively.
"What is it?" I asked.
He snatched his phone and I quickly fell out of the trance.
"My phone."

"You took your phone!" I spat.
He laughed and my face burned red.
"You used me!" I yelled angrily.
He laughed even harder.
"You let yourself be used."
I turned away and tried to hide my blush. He hugged me tight.
"Come on, don't be mad me now."

I sighed. "Fine..."
"There's something else I wanted to show you but we need to wait a good hour. Right now it's 4:30am. Is that fine?" I nodded.

Time skip again

He took my hand and once again and we sprinted through the forest. The sky was getting lighter and I could finally see the outlines of objects.
We went to the creek but this time when we stepped on the rocks that lead into the water. The sun was rising and the bright gold and red gleamed through the sky. I turned my head to look at L and I saw him smiling at me.

"How did you know to come here at this time?" I said.
"I just know." And he winked at me.
He moved closer to me and wrapped his arms around my waist.
"L, what are you-"
"Shh..." He said.
I put my hands onto his
shoulders and we were closer.
I could feel his warm breathe on my face and we locked eyes.
We both leaned our heads in closer so that we were nose to nose.
"(Y/n)..." He whispered.
"Yeah?" I asked.

He pulled me closer and kissed me softly blushed.
I kissed him back.

With the sun and the water. It was perfect.
As he planned...
I told myself.

"I love you." He said as we slowly parted.
My heart was racing.
"I love you too." I said instantly.
"You mean it?"
I smiled. "Yeah." I said happily.
"You'll never leave me?"

"I promise."
