7: You and your silly metaphors.

JACK

I'm finally back. I'm now hanging out by the parking lot with a few friends. Of course, I had my gang which was mostly a part of H.U.S.C. Tadashi and—another friend of mine—Gogo also visited our school to check on me.

I sat on the top of my Mirage G4 and sitting beside me was Tuff. The others sat on other cars and a few just stood up.

"I can't believe Rivory's here again!" Tuff extended his arms, giving me a tight squeeze and messing my hair.
Ow.

"Watch for that," I motioned him to my bandaged hand which was still healing.

"Oops," He ran a hand across his blonde hair.

I just snickered, trying to push away from him. They all laughed.

"You were so brave out there. We've never seen you like that before." Ray teased making me roll my eyes. "I know, right. It was the first time I've seen you as if you'd had your first life." Sandy butted in.

What.

I just gave them my poker face, not interested at all. "Are you feeling any better, somehow?" Merida joined the party and pushed herself to sit beside Ray.

"He-hey! Scottish Sergeant is here!" He teased, receiving a slap on the arm. "Still a born-wrestler, eh?" I smirked at her and she just rolled her eyes.

"You look all beaten up pretty ugly." She muttered, squinting her eyes to look at the bruises on my face. I looked away.

"Might as well introduce us your friends, here?" Thiana, who was leaning her back on a bumper, chimed in.

Oh yeah.

"Tadashi and Gogo; science nerds. Thia, Sandy, Rabbit, Tuffnut, and Mer; retarded peasants."

"Ugh, seriously." Mer mumbled and they laughed. They all shook hands while I just sat there, watching them greet each other as if I was watching a tennis match.

"Hello, Rabbit!" Tad greeted and bunny scoffed. "It's Raymund."

"I love that pink highlights!" Thia complimented and Gogo smiled at her. "I like yours too! Is that violet and green?" She nodded, stroking on her wavy brown hair.

"Jack!" Astrid exclaimed, marching near me. Her heels were making noises against the cemented floor.

I stood up as I spot her. Tadashi turned her head to see her and made way.

Astrid quickly flailed her arms around me, hugging me tightly. My lips parted at her sudden actions.

And of course, everyone too had their jaws drop.

"Babe, I thought I'd never see you again." She pouted, breaking the hug. "Astrid," I muttered, pushing her hips to give us space.

"This must be Ellie?" Gogo asked beside me since I've already mention her to them.

"Uh, no... She's--" "And who might you be?" Astrid scrutinized her from head to toe, flipping aside her straight, silky blonde hair that reached her hip.

"I'm a friend of Jack since junior high." She introduced coolly, smiling with casual crossed arms.

"Why do you care?" I heard Tuff muttering beside me.

"Hm..." Astrid trailed, nodding her head. "I see. So that makes us more legit since we've known each other since elementary years." She boastfully stated as-a-matter-of-factly.
