Best friend

*Kates POV*

We go back to his room. "I've a gift for you." Liam says. I hope you like it. He hands me a book, I can see it's old. I thank him with a smile and open it. My eyes go wide and I don't know what to think. My finger strokes the handwritten words: our diary. I look at him and he looks away. "What is this?"
The words hurt someway because I know I should remember. "Our diary, we wrote everything in this book" I don't know what's going on in my mind. My eyes get wet and suddenly I get cold. I look slowly at the pages. "I remember some of these moments." I lie. "No you're not. I can see that you're lying." He really knows me better than I know myself.
"I'm sorry. I just didn't want to hurt you." I whisper loud enough for him to hear. "I know." he whispers back.
"Thank you for everything you've done." Liam rolls his eyes. "Stop thanking me, you're my friend, the best I ever had and will ever have." these words make me both happy and sad.
"I love you." the words came out of my mouth before I could though about what I was going to say.
"I love you too." he says and hugs me. Kate calm down he doesn't love you that way.
I ignore the voice in my head and I enjoy the moment.
This would probably be the only time I hear this words.
"You should stay here for the night."
I can't handle my smile. "Uhm, all right." His strong arms lead me downstairs. Mary is sitting in the coach watching her soap. When she looks up she smiles bright her eyes are like diamonds. "Oh dear, Kate how are you?" I wish I could look at her the same way. "Fine thanks." I smile. "Good to see you my child!"
"Can she stay here for the night?" I hear Liam ask. "Sure! I'll cook." she jumps out of her seat and walks to the kitchen. "I'll text my mom." A few seconds later I get a message:

From: mom x

"Have fun! X"

I text her goodnight and tell Liam I can stay. He smiles and his eyes shine bright.
"Oh I forgot I have no clothes with me." I tell her. "No worries Astrids clothes will fit you."
"Who's Astrid?"
"My one year younger sister, she can get home every second." I can see he's hurt because I don't remember her but
I can't help it.
Suddenly the front door opens and a beautiful girl walks in she has brown hair and a pair of brown eyes just like Liam. "Kate!" she runs in to my arms and It feels strange. "Give us a second." Liam says and leaves wit Astrid after a couple of minutes they come back and Astrid looks sad.
"I'm going to do my homework!" she yells to the kitchen. "Yes dear!"
"I have also a twin brother." he warns me. He's bringing his girlfriend with him you'll like her."
"What's his name? and hers?" I didn't want to be a fool again.
"Niall and his girlfriend name's Celine."
"Beautiful name." I try my best not to be awkward but it's hard.
"Hey guys!" A blond guy walks in. That must be Niall. "Hey bro!" Liam gives him a high five and Celine smiles at me. I give her one back. "Is that your girlfriend?" She asks Liam and he just nods. Why does he nod? Niall gives him a wink. What's going on here?
"Dinner is ready!" We all go to the table and Astrid runs down the stairs. "Yummie!" she smiles when she looks at the spaghetti Mary made.
Celine's in front of me next to Niall. I'm sitting between Liam and Astrid.
Celine looks wonderful. she hes dark brown curly hair and has a bright smile she has a pair of friendly green eyes and she's so in love with Niall.
I'm jalous, the way they look at each other. I wish Liam and I looked the same way at each other.
"Kate's wearing a shirt of you tonight"
Liam says and Niall, Celine and Astrid look amazed in my direction.
