Gossip girl

*Kate's POV*

My alarm goes off, I stop the annoying sound and lay my head back on the purple pillow. I stare at the ceiling thinking about nothing.
There's a knock on my door and I cover my body with the blanket.
My mom comes in with a glass of milk and cookies.
"Good morning darling." she whispers.
She's sitting on the edge of the bed.
I look at her stomach, it's huge.
"I want to ask you something." she says and I lift myself up to sit against the big pillow. "Uhu" I take a sip of my milk and look at her face. She's not wearing make up, it feels like ages I saw her this way. "You need to help me with a name for the baby." she looks at me, I know she wants it to be a surprise, she doesn't want to know it is a boy or a girl. "I like Carly, Emma and Jade for a girl and when its a boy I think Gabe, Max or Lewis are beautiful names." My mother smiles. "We don't talk much anymore." she points out. I know she misses me however she doesn't have to.
"Mom that's not true."
"You're always at Liam's."
"Because I love him mom."
"I know you do." she doesn't want to discuss this. She stands up and walks to the door.
"Mum wait, Liam and I want to be there when you know..the baby comes."
"Does he?" I hate her for being surprised. "Yea," I say and burry my head under the blanket.
I hear the door closing and get back up.
What will it be? A girl or a boy? I can't tell what I would like more bit if I had to chose it would be a girl because I already have a brother.
I miss Louis, I should call him.

"Hey Louis."
"Hey Katie! How are you?"
"Good thanks, Liam and I are back together and mom is giving birth one of these days."
"I know, I'm coming over. I want to see my fresh born brother."
"Or sister." I correct him.
"Yea, or sister." he repeats me and we laugh. "I missed you Lou."
"I missed you too Katie, thanks for calling." I hear the sadness is his voice.
"When are you coming home?"
"I was thinking about tomorrow?
"That would be great!"
"How are you after.. you know."
"I'm fine, Liam helps me to remember."
"Nice to hear, I missed him tough."
Liam was Louis friend too. They didn't see each other since Liam left and he really misses him.
"How is college?"
"The same as always."
"It's been too long Louis."
"I know sis, I didn't see you in three months." After my accident Louis was home a lot but when I got better he wasn't, the last time I saw him was on New Year's eve.
"I have to go Katie, see you tomorrow."
"Bye, I love you."
"I love you too."

I hang up the phone and get out of the bed. I walk down the stairs with my cookies, still wearing only my panties and Liam's shirt I forgot to give back.
I'm sitting on the couch and watch an episode of gossip girl while eating my cookies. My mother joins me on the couch and start reading a book.

"Louis comes over tomorrow, he's staying the week." She sais.
"I know, we just called,"
"You did?" why is she always so surprised when she doesn't have to?
"Yea." I say and my eyes don't leave the screen.

"Ohw!" my mom yells and her hands strike her stomache trying to stop the pain. "Are you okay?" I ask but I already know the anwser.
"What can I do?" I ask and the pain seems to stop. "It's okay." she assures me and stands up. "I'm taking a nap upstairs." she sais and I nod.
I check my phone and I have two new messages.


From: Liam <3

- 'How is your mom? She's allright?<3'

- 'Yeah but I'll stay here the next days, I think the baby's coming and Louis is coming home tomorrow.<3'

- 'I can come to your place, I want to go with you to the hospital and I really want to see Lou again <3'

- 'that's great :) I love you Lili.'

- 'I love you too <3'

- 'Would you like to join me to the football match of Liam and Zayn next saturday? Niall asked me to come and I want you to be there to surprise Liam x'

- 'Sounds good to me ;) x '


I put my phone in my pocket and walk to the kitchen to put my plate into the dishwasher. I open the back door and a warm breeze lifts my hair up.

I walk to my bedroom to put my clothes on. I'm wearing a black skirt with a grey blouse on top. I add a bit mascara and walk to the mirror. I look at myself and I'm pleased with how I look.

There's a knock on the door and I open it. Liam walks in and looks at me.
"You look amazing." He says and I flush.

"I still have your shirt, here."
I hand him the white shirt but he gives it back to me. "You can keep it, you like it and it looks better on you."

I try to hide my smile and kiss him on his forhead. I love him so much.
The thought of my being the reason of his father's dead pops up in my head but I push it away.

"I think it's going to be a boy." Liam sais and pulls me into his strong arms.
"I think it's going to be a girl." I say and he kisses my hair.
I look at the bed and I remember something.


*flashback*

"How are you Kate?" Liam opens the door and walks to my bed.
"Not so good, I'm not feeling well."
"I brought your books with me."
"Thanks, do we have a lot of homework?" He shows me the books, it looks like we do have a lot of work to do
"Yea, but I'll help you."
He's sitting next to me on the bed and opens one of the books.
"We will start with history."
I roll my eyes. He knows I hate it.
"I know you don't like it, that's why we better do it first." I nod and look at the book. He starts reading and I try to listen carefully but I'm too tired.
His lovely voice keeps speaking and I close my eyes.

When I wake up Liam is sleeping next to me. He made all of my homework.
He didn't have to do that. I watch him sleeping and cover his body with my blanket. I kiss his cheek and close my eyes again.



*Liam's POV*

"Kate?" I wave my hands to wake her up from her daydream.
"Where were you thinking about?"
"About us." she smiles "I remember something." I wrap my arms around her waist and kiss her hair again.
The smell of roses comes to me and I close my eyes. "That's amazing."
I whisper and she looks straight into my eyes. "Thank you Liam." she whispers while her forhead rests against mine.




(Short I know but I have a lot of homework to do but I write as much as I can. I wrote a whole chapter but I forgot to save it :s I'm such an idiot.
So don't hate me because it lasts a little longer. I'm going to sleep now 'cause I'm exhausted. Good night!
