Bryson
"How do I look?"
I looked up at Sage to see that she was wearing one of my Nike hats.
"You look good, boo. You want it?"
"Oh, no thank you" She quickly declined, taking it off.
"You can have whatever you want"
"All the kisses in the world?" She asked innocently.
I smirked and licked my lips. "If that's what you want"
She blushed and nodded.
Baby girl had me smiling like a fool.
I saw her pick up one of my Nike hoodies. I thought that she was gonna fold it, but instead she pulled it on.
"You wanna look like me, yeah?"
"I put it on because it smelled like you"
"I smell like me too, wassup with it?"
She grinned and toyed with the hat before putting it back on and standing up.
"Boom. Does it look okay?" She held her arms out so that I could get a better look at the fit.
It was a little baggy on her, but I thought that it was cute.
"Yeah. You look gorgeous, boo"
"How can I look gorgeous in sports apparel?"
I shrugged. "You look gorgeous in anything"
She pulled my hat down over her face and stuck her tongue out before laughing at herself and taking it off.
She took my hoodie off and folded it before setting it back down on my bed.
"You're a queen, you know that?"
"No"
"Well you are"
"Thank you, Bryson"
I extended my hand out for her to grab, and she did.
We then went downstairs.
"Camilla, where's my father?" Sage asked.
"He is at work and doesn't know if he'll make it back before dinner time.
She immediately frowned. "Okay"
Her brother was asleep on the couch.
We went in the kitchen for a bag of chips, then went up to her room.
She tossed the bag on her bed and went to her wall, examining her work.
It wasn't done yet, but already looked amazing.
I went to go wrap my arm around her waist.
She turned to face me and smiled.
"You said that you want all the kisses, yeah?"
She nodded her head and I leaned down to kiss her.
When I pulled away from her, she leaned against the wall and closed her eyes.
"Why you ain't say that you was tired?"
"Hmm? You're buying me some tires?"
I chuckled. "Yeah, if that's what you want"
"Can we get some truck tires? My tire swing is going to be lit"
I didn't question where she learned the word lit from.
Probably Keisha.
"-but if it's lit, my trees gonna burn down" She frowned. "I don't want to hurt a tree"
I guided her to the bed, and lifted her up to lay down on it.
"I hear you, boo"
"I love you, Bryson"
"I love you too, babygirl"
"I like that" She mumbled. "Please call me that again"
"Babygirl?"
She nodded her head and her breathing slowed.
I got up to leave, but she stopped me.
"Don't go"
The sense of urgency in her voice made me raise my eyebrow before smiling.
"You gone miss me, yeah?"
"A lot"
I got in the bed beside her, and she rolled over ontop of me.
"Just to make sure" She buried her face into my neck before immediately falling asleep.
It felt good as hell to have Sage in my corner.
She gave me the love that no one else could give me and it was amazing.
I couldn't wait to marry her, and for us to be great together.
Her lips brushed against my cheek and she moved to snore into my ear.
"Sage used to do that all the time when she was little. I used to line up a few pillows and put her on them because she used to drool into my ear"
Charles had scared me for a moment.
"Oh, yeah?"
"Yep. I'll leave you alone now, though"
"Aight. See ya later"
"Thank you, Bryson"
I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. "What did I do?"
"You're making my daughter happier, and I didn't even think that it was possible"
"She makes me happy too"
