Chapter 3 – Origins
“She seems uneasy.” Vrede said as he was playing with his sickles while his back was rested against a wall. “And I’m not talking about the prisoner.” He added.
“I wonder why.” Verrath said as he looked through the voids in front of him as he again watched the world as it tore itself apart.
“The prisoner’s friends might come here.” The red haired Sentis member replied as he continued on playing with his weapons.
“They don’t know where this place is and besides, they are still focused on recuperating.” The leader of the Sentis said to him.
“I guess that just leaves the deserter then.” Vrede said and the master of the Sentis suddenly halted.
Verrath walked around as he fixed his hair. He ruffled his cloak as he then had stopped walking and repositioned himself near the voids.
“That won’t be necessary. He’ll be engulfed in the destruction we are about to cause anyway.” He said afterwards.
Vrede had an uneasy feeling inside him. Thoughts in his mind began to brew and it was about the origins of the nine members. He knew that each of them had a past life, a past personality and a past name. Their existence was derived from their past personalities and features, but he wasn’t able to analyze Verrath himself. Vrede knew the master’s old name but that was it and nothing more.
“So what’s your deal?” the red haired Sentis member said out loud.
“What do you mean?” Verrath asked him back.
“The rest of us originated from a something hence the emptiness. But you, something’s different about you. You seem incomplete and yet you have no ties to your past aside from your old name.” he replied to his master.
Verrath gave out a sinister smirk as he faced away from his colleague.
“Theravada is all I know.” Vrede said with a sinister look on his face. He knew that it was that name that pissed his master off.
“Nice try, but no.” the leader of the Sentis said. “Draven the difference between us is that you have a past life.” Verrath said.
Immediately Vrede felt uneasy from hearing Verrath’s statement.
“The hell are you talking about?” Vrede asked him.
“You should have known by now.” Verrath said to her. “Why do you think that she looks like me?” he asked him.
Vrede thought about the master’s question and immediately he remembered the face of the girl that they had captured. There was a striking resemblance between the girl who was Yue and his master who was the leader of the Novemque Sentis.
“Was she your past life?” the red haired Sentis member asked him.
“Close but no.” Verrath said as he conjured grey spirit energy in his hands.
The spirit energy that Verrath conjured had begun to take a face of a woman. Her face looked like Yue’s but it was more mature and her hair was straightened out and fell to her neck perfectly.
“Do you know who she is?” the leader of Sentis asked.
“Gaia, the keeper of the Realm of Life and the Realm of Eternity.” Vrede replied.
“Who does she look like?” Verrath continued to ask.
“The prisoner and you.” Vrede said and then it hit him. “No way that means?!” he said to him.
