Chapter 25 – The Clash (Part 3)

“Power break.” Verrath said as all the elements raged around him. The energy surge kept the Treyah students at bay.

“Damn!” Fran said as she let lightning rage around her arms. “We need to break through!” she said.

“He’s too strong!” Melfice shouted as he shielded himself from the ice and lightning blasts that surged around Verrath.

“Indeed.” Lucian said while a dark shield was in front of him. “But we need to stop him.” He said.

Seiryu on the other hand dashed to the right side in order to get a pre-emptive strike towards the leader of the Sentis. Verrath turned to him as he tried to catch up with the long haired student’s speed.

“Resistance is futile!” the master Sentis said to him.

The long haired student did not heed Verrath’s words however and he shifted instead to the opposite direction. He then spun a 360 degree motion and he let out a blade beam from his sword.

Verrath then shut the beam that was making its way to him.

“You can’t defeat me.” He then said as he countered with a huge fire wave. “Brimstone Hellfire!” he added.

A huge surge of flames now made their way towards Seiryu, but the flame wielder known as Melfice got in front of it and tried to absorb all the flames in his gunblade. He spun the Hybrid as he tried to use the force of the flames that were heading his way to a counter attack.

“Get out!” Melfice instructed Seiryu and the latter dashed out of the way of the flames.

The fire wielder got control of some of Verrath’s fire and he was beginning to build momentum, but then as he was charging up, the master Sentis rushed towards him and gave him a punch to his torso rendering Melfice stunned.

“Agh!” the hybrid wielder said as he clutched his torso in pain. He got kicked afterwards and this had sent him falling down.

“Melfice!” Fran shouted.

“Go I’m okay!” he shouted back as he tried to regain his stance.

Lucian rushed towards the master Sentis and let out a series of fast slashes. In an instant his blade was engulfed in darkness and the blade of his rapier began to again take shape of a wing.

“Ankoku Ryu Ken, Kohai no Kurayami no Tsubasa! (Dark Wings of Blight)” he shouted as he was about to make impact with his attack.

“Heaven’s Pillar.” Verrath said as he stretched out his hand towards Lucian and immediately multiple energy spears of light emerged and it had made its way towards the calm student.

The multiple energy spears hampered Lucian’s attack. He tried to dodge the barrage at first but eventually one particularly hit him in the torso area as well.

“Darn it…” the calm student said as he knelt down on one knee. “Light…” he said.

“Fearing the light now aren’t we?” Verrath said to him as light energy became more radiant in one of his hands.

“Don’t even think about it” a voice said from above.

“What?” Verrath said in response as he saw the long haired student preparing to strike from above.

“Suichoku Danmen! (Vertical Cross)” Seiryu shouted as he was about to make impact with the leader of the Sentis with his darkness engulfed blade.

He sped towards Verrath with his attack while the latter just stood there with no look of urgency on his face. Once Seiryu was about to make impact, his attack was brought to a sudden stop by only the two fingers from Verrath’s hands.
