Chapter 21 – Stale and Unfortunate

“My, my.” Verrath said as he was now with Yue. The latter was still encased in the chamber pod. “It would seem that intruders are aloft.” He added.

“What?” Yue then said to him. “They made it…” she thought to herself as she sighed a relief.

“Hmmm.” The lord of the Sentis said. “No matter, their impending deaths are a given already.” He said in response.

He faced his other half once more and somewhat, uneasiness had approached him. Verrath felt grey energy engulf his hand.

“She always chose you.” He said to her.

“Huh?” Yue asked him.

“As such with that move, she chose life over the inevitable.” Verrath said to her once more.

“I still don’t know what you’re talking about!” Yue shouted at him.

“So you have really forgotten haven’t you?” he said to her. “Did she really have to go all through that just to keep you safe?” he added. “Depleting your memories about our wonderful family.” He concluded.

“Stop being rhetorical!” she shouted once more.

“Our mother would be so upset that her own precious daughter forgot about her, but then again she always casts aside her offspring.” Verrath said. “Like she did to me.” He added.

Two grey portals appeared behind Verrath and what came out of it was the other two Sentis members, namely Vrede and Fraus.

“Intruders are aloft.” Vrede said calmly.

“I know.” The master Sentis replied. “Somehow they found out on how to get to this place. The place that is said to be untouchable by man.” He added.

Fraus felt a cold sweat fall as she feared that she might be found out about what she did. The female Sentis member knew that she was the one that helped her former comrades to gain access to this place.

“But no matter.” Verrath said. “They’ll be stepping in their graves soon.” He added.

“You seem calm about it.” The red haired Sentis member said to him. He probably wondered why there was no sense of urgency felt on his master’s side.

“Somehow I kind of wanted them to find this place.” The master Sentis said once more. “Vrede go to where the Yanmiege is hangared, protect it with your life. Fraus you as well.” He added.

Vrede was the first to go as he walked towards the room where the Yanmiege is. Fraus was about to make her way as well but she was stopped by Verrath.

“It would seem that the orb is missing.” The master Sentis said to her. “But I know you have other plans right?” he added.

“Do you doubt my loyalty?” she then asked him as she tried to act calmly.

“No.” Verrath replied. “Just watch yourself.” He added.

“Master…” Fraus said.

“Go, I’ll take care of things here. It’s just about time.” He added and Fraus now followed, who was going to the room where the Yanmiege is housed.

“Where are you?” Yue said as she looked around. She hoped that Seiryu and the other were already inside the realm of Oblivion.

Verrath then got closer to the pod and suddenly he put a hand on the class casing. It opened and this surprised Yue. He stepped and kept his distance from the azure haired girl while the latter was still stunned at Verrath’s actions.
