Chapter 10 – Overcoming Adversary
“Raaaaaggggghhhh!” Gewalt roared as he rushed towards Zaix in a speed that the latter could not see.
“Fuck where’d he go?!” Zaix said as he kept his weapons at the ready, but before he could even react, a huge punch had come across his abdomen area. “Gaghhh!” he blurted out as he reacted while being punch.
Gewalt lifted him afterwards with one hand and immediately tossed him to his left side. The Treyah student flew as he tried to keep his composure but he had another thing coming. The Sentis member reappeared at the end of the path and he let out another strike but this time it came from his blade arm. The attack sent Zaix flying this time to the opposite side. Gewalt moved again to the end of the trajectory of where Zaix was headed and got there before he did. He then charged up his grey spirit energy and blasted the incoming Treyah student with multiple lightning orbs which resulted in a series of explosions.
Once the fog had cleared up, Zaix had been visible. He lay down to the floor and seemed to be unconscious. His clothes were tattered; there was blood on his torso wound and on his face as well as his eyes were closed. The Treyah student didn’t seem to move an inch. Gewalt then moved closer to the student to examine him.
“Pathetic…” he said out loud. “To think that you would die just like that; I expected more from you.” He then added as he turned his back.

Zaix POV
Damn that series of hits really did a toll on my body. I really am trying to move now but it seems that’s all my body could take. I thought I could do it, even if I had no confidence in my individual strength. It’s because I was that type of person who took up the challenge. I saw people stronger than me as a building block of my own strength.
I wonder why he’s not finishing me off yet? Probably this is one of his sadistic means of torture. He’d probably show my unconscious body to them and use me as an example of what a weakling I am.
But you’re not weak.
That voice. Sounds like Terrah’s huh? I wonder why I would remember such a thing right now?
I want to fight, to prove to the rest of them that I can hold my own and not be a burden. That was my mindset when I was a kid. Back then when I was still little, I tried to be a soldier to make my family proud and that’s the reason why I went to Treyah. Moms must be worried now and this is not helping. My current predicament won’t really make everyone proud now would they?
Seiryu would probably kick me in the back for being such a weakling. He’s the only person that I lost a fight to so this would make him look bad and it would make me look bad as well if I lost to this nut hugger.
I felt lightning surge around me, well whaddya know? I still have some fight in me after all huh? My eyes, I can feel them opening and I can’t wait for them to open to give this guy a huge ass kicking.
C’mon, just a little bit more!

General POV
Lightning surged around Zaix’s body and this had drawn the attention of the Sentis member and he faced towards the Treyah student. Gewalt saw the downed student suddenly get back up to his feet.
Zaix’s eyes shone a bright yellow color while his gauntlets were surrounded by silver lightning with shades of gold around them. Around his body raged red lightning as well and he can feel his spirit energy dance around him.
