Chapter 26 – Ends of Nigh

Seiryu and Lucian rushed towards the Verrath and each of them attacked calmly as each strike they sent out had the force of darkness within it. The Sentis leader was parrying their attacks with his weapon now which was a Swallow Blade. Fire, thunder and Ice raged as he let out each strike to counter the darkness wielders’ powers.

“It would seem that you have regained composure.” Verrath said. Multiple magic spells made their way towards the two students.

Lucian dodged the incoming fire spell as he spun in a 360 motion. He then faced towards Verrath and rushed towards him. His blade was scratching against the hard shell platform of the Yanmiege.

“Kage no Shodo! (Shadow Impulse)” Lucian said as he executed an upward slash that sent a wave of darkness energy towards the master Sentis.

“Nice try.” Verrath said as he created a light shield to deflect Lucian’s attack.

“Melfice now!” he shouted as a huge surge of fire came from behind him.

“What the?!” the master Sentis shouted in surprise, for he had thought that Melfice was still out.

“Firebrand Hybrid form 4, Efreeta’s Blasting Zone!” Melfice shouted as his dual blades now increased in size and flames and he executed a simultaneous vertical slash with the two blades.

“Not if I can help it.” Verrath said as he conjured a water shield this time to protect himself from the incoming flames.

The water shield did its job but some of the flames still got through. It did not harm the leader of the Sentis but it certainly staggered him for a bit.

Seiryu’s eyes glinted as he saw an opening to attack. He dashed towards the Sentis master and he jumped high in the air. His katana was held by him above his head and darkness energy wrapped around it.

“That’s all?” Verrath said as he was still not aware of the long haired student above him.

“Suichoku Danmen!” Seiryu shouted as he dashed in a very fast manner from the air towards the ground as he executed a huge vertical slash from his blade.

“Don’t be naïve!” the master Sentis said to him as he tried to conjure a light shield, but before he could do so, Seiryu was closing in with his speed.

“Yaaaaaahhhhhh!” the long haired student shouted.

He was about to make impact with Verrath but the latter summoned a light elemental shield just in a nick of time. The master Sentis, even though he protected himself, was struggling to defend one of Seiryu’s special moves.

“Give up now!” Verrath shouted at him as he struggled.

“You wish.” Seiryu said as he tried to break through the shield of his adversary. Darkness raged around him as he tried to do so and his eyes flared a bright red color.

“Rgh!” the master Sentis replied as he struggled.

Verrath managed to push him off and Seiryu was sent back in the air. He was caught off-guard and the leader of the Sentis knew that this could be his chance to capitalize on an attack. He jumped up high as he leveled himself with the long haired student. Holding on his swallow blades he engulfed the blades both in light energy and spun his blades with one hand.

He changed his stance into a motion that looks like he will let out a huge slash. He did so as he executed a big diagonal 360 slash in the air and this sent continuous blade beams towards the long haired student.
