Chapter 18 – Suspects

The portal went straight into Fraus’ room and she then appeared right out of it. Looking around, she noticed that there was no one in the room so she breathed in a sigh of relief. The door of her room was also locked so she really felt relieved.

Fraus walked onwards to her door and opened it. She went and made her way towards the room where-in Yue was being held, but then she was stopped by someone. He was leaning against a wall and his red hair stood out. It was none other than Vrede.

“So finally decided to come out of your room huh?” he then said with a smirk on his face.

“I just needed to rest.” Fraus in return replied to him.

“That was a hell of a rest.” Vrede said to her. “It was really unlike you to be out like that.” He added.

“I was tired.” She replied coldly to him.

“Not so much cold as you used to be huh? You’re getting soft.” Vrede joked at her.

“Don’t test me.” She said to him with an irritated look on her face.

“Geez ease up princess.” The red haired Sentis member said to her. “By the way have you heard the news?” he asked her.

“What is it this time?” Fraus asked him.

“Begierde’s dead.” Vrede replied to her with a serious look on his face.

This had brought mixed thoughts inside Fraus’s mind. On one hand she knew that it was a bad thing to lose one of their own but in another, she knew that her friends needed to finish them off to get Yue back.

“Who knew that those two would fall easily…” one of the Sentis said as he walked along where Vrede and Fraus were. His grey hair stood out of them and his brown eyes looked as emotionless as ever.

“Nice of you to actually be in headquarters Vollerei.” Vrede said to him with a smirk on his face.

“I never knew that weaklings were a part of this group that Verrath created.” Vollerei said in return.

“We can’t be all as full of pride as you are Viktour.” The red haired Sentis member said and immediately this triggered something from within Vollerei.

The grey haired Sentis member tried to be aggressive as he closed in on Vrede but immediately a wall of gray flames had surrounded the red haired Sentis member.

“Calm the fuck down.” Vrede said to him with a smirk. He then let his flames subside.

Vollerei then turned his back at the red haired Sentis member.

“One of these days Vrede, you’ll get what’s coming to you.” The grey haired Sentis member said to him as he walked on and minded his own business.

After Vollerei had left only Fraus and Vrede were left on the scene. The latter fixed up his cloak and he still had a smirk on his face.

“You just love messing with him do you?” the female Sentis member said to him.

“There’s no harm in that right?” Vrede asked her.

“He might actually kill you.” She replied to him.

“Testing me is a bad idea.” He replied to her. “It’ll sure be quieter around here, with Begierde and Gewalt gone.” He said.

“I guess.” Fraus said as she began to walk away from her ally.

“Oh and Fraus.” Vrede said to her. This caused her to turn back at the red haired Sentis member.

“Hmm?” she then asked him.
