Episode 22 - Just a Diversion

Chapter 22 – Just a Diversion

“And how are things here?” Verrath said as he entered the chamber of the Yanmiege. It was Vrede who awaited him there.

“It’s fully repaired since the last attack.” He replied as he looked at his master. Vrede noticed that his master had some color in him. “Well, well I guess you absorbed her powers fully huh?” he then said.

“My mother would be so proud, but alas the world still awaits its cleansing.” Verrath said as he climbed up the upper part of the Yanmiege with ease. “Sins, that’s what we are and with sin, the promise of deliverance is just around the corner.” He added.

“Never thought of you as a grudge keeper.” Vrede said to him.

“I’m not. The world is.” Verrath said to him with an evil smirk on his face.

He stood on top of the Yanmiege now as the upper part of it seemed to open and a port had appeared from it. It was big enough to house a particular human being within it. Verrath stood and went inside the port and he felt the need to let his multicolored affinity energies to rage around him.

It seems that the world’s end has come, for the Yanmiege now has a perfect core.

“The end comes.” He said as his eyes flashed a bright blue color. “And with it a promise of rebirth as well” he added.

It was still Seiryu and Melfice against Sinistros and Dekstros in a battle for their lives and whilst all the combatants were still trying to get themselves together, a huge roar was heard inside the realm of Oblivion and this particular roar had caused a small earthquake around them.

“It would seem that it is activated.” Dekstros said as a huge grey void was conjured behind him.

“Vrede’s plans always work after all.” Sinistros said with a smirk on his face.

“What are you talking about?!” Melfice shouted at them as flames raged around him.

“The end of all things.” Dekstros said as he conjured a huge force field that separated them from Seiryu and Melfice.

“You ain’t running away again!” Seiryu said as he let out a huge darkness blast from his hand, but it fell short because the shield energy was already in place.

Dekstros and Sinistros now just walked in through the portal and shortly afterwards it had disappeared. The two of them were inside of ot but something bothered the white haired twin’s mind.

“Is it alright for us to leave them alive?” he asked his brother.

“Learn to trust in Vrede. His plans are always good for the master so it should be good for us.” Dekstros said as the two of them walked on and made their way to the room where the Yanmiege is.

Meanwhile, Seiryu and Melfice still tried to recuperate from the onslaught that they had suffered earlier from the Limbo twins.

“Darn it they got away again!” Melfice shouted as he punched the ground.

“No time now” the long haired student said to him. “We need to find Yue.” He added as the grey void in front of them disappeared thus revealing a huge door in front of them.

The two of them ran towards it and saw that it could be opened with enough force applied. Seiryu and Melfice rushed towards it and destroyed the door with their respective weapons. It had led them to another hall, but this time there were doors to their sides and it would seem that at the end of the hallway, there was a door that looked different from the rest.
