Chapter 19 – A Sudden Halt
The next day, the ship was already flying west-ward towards the location of the Sanctum’s ruins. The others were really puzzled on why was this happening, particularly Fran.
“Why are we going west?” Fran said as she shook Lucian’s collar thus shaking him as well. The latter did not move a muscle and kept his cool.
“We have a lead there Miss Fran.” He tried to say but still Fran shook him even more.
Seiryu on the other hand stood up and went outside to the balcony. Melfice did take notice of this. Lucian was still being shook by Fran so he really could not leave her be. The hybrid wielder then stood up and followed Seiryu.
He got out and then saw the brown haired student standing in the middle.
“Look, if you’re wondering on why we are going to the Sanctum Dei Cronos instead of Herac-“ Melfice tried to say but he was cut off.
“Who did you hear it from?” Seiryu then asked him directly. “Who gave you the information?” he added.
Melfice tried to calm down because he knew that Seiryu didn’t trust Fraus anymore.
“I got it from Elle.” He then said to him.
And this hit a spot inside Seiryu.
“She’s lying.” The long haired student said out loud.
“What if she’s not?” Melfice asked him again.
“She’s lied to us before, who’s to say that she isn’t lying now?” Seiryu then retorted.
“Are you sure this is still about her attacking us?” the fire wielder said to him.
“Maybe.” The long haired student replied coldly to him.
“I think…she’s on to something.” Melfice said to her.
“So you’re still blind after all.” Seiryu said to him in a very straightforward manner.
Melfice felt some gripe and anger within him from hearing the long haired student’s words. Small flames began to appear on his hands from such anger.
“Damn it! So what if I am?!” he then shouted at her. “You trusted her just the same!” he concluded.

Seiryu POV
It was true. I trusted her just the same. The way that she reached out to me felt like it was real. The way that her blonde hair shone, the look in her eyes which were azure in color, I can still see them today. But, it was all over when she chose to cut her ties with us. She took Yue and with that I have learned that I can never fully trust her.
“Didn’t…you trust her too?” I heard Melfice ask me now. He was still somewhat angry from my statements.
“She deceived us all.” I tried to reply.
“You think the rest of us don’t know that?!” I heard him reply again. Damn he really needs to stop shouting.
“It could be a trap.” I said to him once more.
“It was Yue who sent her…” Melfice said to me and this had caught my attention.
“What?” I said to him. Yue did you really send her to us?
“She said that she visited me on behalf of Yue’s will.” Melfice said once more. “Yue wanted to help us too.” He added.
I wasn’t so sure on what to say. I mean if Yue really did send her then it must mean that she has broken through Fraus. I was thinking more now but still I was skeptical of the whole situation.
