Chapter 28 – Turning Tides

The huge white light can be seen from the vicinity of Herac as the citizens and the soldiers still tried to evade the attack of the grey fiends around them.

“Huge white light.” Greeze said as he looked atop of a building. “I wonder what’s going on?” he said as he saw the light get stronger.

“An explosion?” Dwayne said as he landed on the same rooftop as his comrade. “Things are just about to get worse ain’t it?” he then asked as he sighed

“Let’s hope not.” The green haired student replied to him and the two of them now made their way towards the inner parts of the city as they jumped down the building that they were standing on.

There were still mini kiosks of medical facilities present in the outer parts of Treyah Battle Academy and it would seem that the structure of the academy itself is already being repaired. It was a busy ambience that they were all having as there were still students in need of help due to that last attack that had happened.

Rhea, the assistant of Doctor Lett was carrying supplies towards one of the kiosks when suddenly she noticed a sudden flash of light coming from the west. This had caused her to stop in her tracks and look at the white light that had encompassed a part of the sky as well.

“Beautiful.” She said out loud as her silver hair shone as well.

“I wonder what’s going on?” Hugo, Seiryu’s classmate said as he walked beside Dr. Lett’s assistant. He was also captivated by the light that had come from the far west.

Aizen felled another grey crystal fiend and then he felt something wasn’t right. He sensed a huge surge of energy as he also began to see the light coming from behind him. A faint white light but it had properties of all elements as well.

“So it has begun.” He said as he drank from his flask of liquor. “I wonder how you are going to handle this, Seiryu?” he added.

A surge of flames appeared behind him and a familiar face was seen by him.

“Breig.” Aizen said with a smirk on his face. The fire master then ruffled his now long blonde hair that was still slicked back. He was wearing no shirt but he had gi pants with a belt on. He had slippers on and he held his broad sword with his right hand.

“How goes the freedom friend?” Breig asked him.

“Same old.” He replied

“That light, is that what it is?” The flame master then asked him in response.

“Hmph.” Aizen said in response. “I wonder.” He added. “Will this be the end of us all?” he said.

“Wouldn’t mind if I died right now.” Breig replied.

“I guess.” Aizen replied as he threw a cigarette towards his comrade. Breig lit it up with his flames and began to smoke as well.

“I know you can do it.”

“Idiot…” Yue said as she watched from the airship. It had been a while before Seiryu had gotten out of the exploded energy ball that came from inside the Yanmiege.
