Chapter 24 – The Clash (Part 2)
Julia and her summoned dragon began to pelt the armor shell of the Yanmiege with ice spikes from their energies. The ice spikes were multiple in number and each made their way towards the tough armor shell of the Yanmiege, but it was of no avail for the armor was really hard to break.
“Resistance is futile…” Verrath said as the Yanmiege under his command.
It began to face where Julia was and it let out a series of lightning waves towards her.
“Darn it!” she shouted as she conjured an ice shield out of her blue spirit energy.
“Hold on.” Melusine, her dragon, said to her as the summoned beast maneuvered herself around the lightning waves.
The dragon moved elegantly in a singular motion as she passed through the lightning waves with ease. It’s sapphire eyes lit up in response as it let out a huge water beam from its mouth. The beam once more pelted the shell of the Yanmiege.
The initial attack of Melusine slightly staggered the huge whale-like beast seemed to move in recoil from the dragon’s attack.
“It ain’t done yet!” Zaix shouted as his voice echoed from the speakers of the airship. He maneuvered the ship to the far right side of the Yanmiege to fight an open area to attack it. “Here comes a big one!” he shouted.
A huge missile was fired from one of the airship’s guns and it made impact towards the beast. Zaix probably thought the explosion would buy their comrades some time. The huge whale like beast again flinched but not to a point that it was vulnerable. In response, a huge wave of flying crystal beasts was sent towards the aggressive airship.
“Dang it!” Zaix said. “Gotta run for now!” he added as the airship sped to the opposite direction as he tried to shake the beasts. When he was in a perfect angle however, he charged up one of the laser guns of the airship.
A huge laser was fired from the gun and it seemed to obliterate all the flying crystal beasts with ease.
“That’s how it’s done!” he shouted once more as he maneuvered the ship again close to the Yanmiege. Perhaps he will continue to provide distraction for Seiryu and Lucian to find the leader controlling the beast.

Melfice was still riding Efreeta as the beast ran on the huge fin of the Yanmiege. With his swallow fang blade on his right hand, Melfice slashed every crystal fiend that was coming his way. It would seem that he was making progress traveling atop the fin of the huge beast.
“Now where to go from here?” he said as he blasted another crystal fiend with his flames. “Even though this is just the fin, this thing is built like a labyrinth!” he shouted.
Efreeta along with Melfice now still was running across the huge right fin arm of the Yanmiege. It would seem that they were searching for clues on where the beast is being controlled. Immediately though they were brought into a halt when a huge drake-like beast was flying towards the fin arm that they were at.
“Not good.” Melfice said as he saw the gray drake like beast. “How the hell is this thing summoning all these monsters?!” he said a she braced himself for combat.

“Found anything?” Lucian asked Seiryu as the two of them flew around the top of the Yanmiege with their dragon summons.
