Chapter 29 – Another Promise
The azure haired girl lay in her room once more which was situated inside the airship. She was fast asleepas her bed sheet covered her entire body. Across her was Seiryu seated on a chair near the door. It would seem that he was watching over her as she recovers. This was their first rest day and still it would seem that the Novemque Sentis is not making their move.
“Probably they’re recovering as well.” Seiryu thought as he held on his katana as it was sheathed. The chain on its hilt dangled across his left hand.
Seiryu’s face had bandages on it for he and the rest of his allies were really wounded in the battle that had taken place in their vicinity not so long ago. He then observed Yue as she slept.
“She’s been through a lot these past few days.” He said. “Kidnapped, then possessed, then hurt.” He thought. “She deserves this rest.” He concluded.
He then rested his head against the backrest of his chair and he tried to sleep, but as he was about to fall asleep, he heard the girl groan.
“Ugh…where am I?” her voice said and this had awoken Seiryu.
“In your room ditz, where else?” he replied to her.
Yue then saw him. She saw his red eyes again, the long brown hair that was not really kept but it still looked good. His stoic facial expression which seldom smiles but still it gave her a warm feeling inside her.
“S-Seiryu…” she said as she held her head down.
The long haired student noticed her facial expression. It looked a bit sad and her eyes were a proof of this.
“What’s wrong?” he asked the azure haired girl.
“N-nothing.” She replied to him. “It’s just I thought that I would never see you again.” She added.
Tears then started to fall from her eyes for she couldn’t really believe that Seiryu now was right in front of her.
“You were the only one that I thought about when I was captured by them.” Yue then said to him.
“It’s all over now.” He replied whilst he looked away from her. He was hiding his face as it slightly changed into a bright red color.
The azure haired girl then let out a smile for she knew that he was just being shy. She’d always known that he was a shy person ever since they met, but it all changed when he swore to her to protect her and the moment they shared back in the forest near Aizen’s homeland.
“I wanted to protect you too…” Yue then said outloud.
“Huh?” Seiryu wondered as he looked at her once again.
“I wanted…to protect you ever since I saw you…” she said. “When you entered our classroom back then for the first time, you looked so damaged…” she said once more.
Seiryu then remained silent as he listened to her.
“I wanted to help you as well and to fight beside you, so I sent Elle to help you guys.” Yue said to him. “I wanted her to give you a clue about where I am.” She concluded.
“You want too many things.” He said as he stood up. “But you need not worry, for I’ll always accept your help. Thank you.” He added and faced her once more.
He let out a smile at her and she returned his smile with one of her own.
“You’re all I thought about too.” Seiryu said to her. “I felt guilty at first.” He added.
