I finish straightening my hair. I grab my bag, as I walk out of my room. Cam sits on the couch reading a book.

"Hey. You ok?"

"I'm surviving. I'm going to the bakery. Want anything?" I respond.

"My usual."

"Alright. I'm taking my penny board."

"Ok be careful."

"Ok love you."

"Love you too."

I walk out putting in my headphones. I feel the light breeze hit my face. I breathe in, then let it out. I turn my music on and start riding to the bakery.

I look around. I look back down trying my best not to cry. I see Hayes talking to that girl on his balcony. I look away quickly riding away. I wipe a tear away and brush off the feeling.

When I get into town, I go up to the bakery. I grab our food and put them in my bag. I get back on my penny board and decide to go window shopping.

I'm distracted by a dress, that I find myself running into a guy. I look to see Jack G.

"Oh sorry jack." I say picking up my board.

"It's fine. How you holding up?"

"I don't know. How's Cali?"

"Eh I like it more here."

"Yeah but then again who wouldn't?"

He smiles and we stand there looking at each other.

"I got to go. See ya tomorrow?" I say breaking the silence.

"Yeah see ya tomorrow beautiful."

I smile and walk past him. I look back to see him look back at me. I blush and turn away. Idiot. I'm such a idiot. I drop my penny board and ride back home.

I look to see Hayes and that girl having a water balloon fight. That's what we did the first time. Why is he doing it with her?

"Hey later on you want to go to Cracker Barrel?" He asks.

"Sure I would love to." She says flipping her hair.

That was our first date.... Why? Why is he doing this? He swings her around and she laughs. His mom comes out and she brings out lemonade.

He nudges her like he use to do me. He lets her sit in his lap like he use to do me. Jealousy arise in me. FINE! If he wants to play that game.

*next day*

I walk down the street in my rip blue jeans and a crop top. I see that girl back again. She gets out of her moms car and joyfully jumps into Hayes arms. He spins her around.

I plug in my headphones and sit on the swing. I watch as he flirts with her like he use to do me. He's doing everything we use to do.

She takes his hand and they spin around laughing. He dips her and brushes her hair behind her ear. She blushes and they stare at each other.

Don't do it.

Don't you do it Hayes Grier.

Please I still love you.

He stares at her for a good minute.

Please I'm begging.

He leans in and kisses her.

My heart snaps, breaks, whatever you want to call it.

Tears form in my eyes and I stand up running away. I run in the woods to the lake. I just want him back. I don't want anyone else.
