I sit on the couch staring at a scrapbook of Hayes and I. Each picture reminds me of the memories we shared. I flip through tears forming in my eyes.

I see one picture of us at the beach, I'm on his back shoving ice cream in his face. I chuckle tears spilling down my cheek.

I get to the last page and see a note. I slowly grab it, opening it carefully.

'Hazel.
The love of my life. My baby. My one and only. My princess. My world.
I just wanted to write you this to remind you how much I love you. There's nothing I wouldn't do for you. You have made my life brighter. Your smile can brighten up any cloudy day I have. You are the most amazing person I could ask for. You make me smile, laugh, you make my heart beat. I want to be with you forever. I don't want to live life without you by my side. I love you so much baby girl.

I wipe the tears away and cover my mouth. I stand up pushing everything aside. I go up to my room passing by all the pictures of us. I don't know what to do.

I go inside my room, sitting on my bed. I look at the picture of my mom and I.

"What do I do?" I cry picking up my pillow.

I lean my head back crying into my pillow. I get back up again grabbing my jacket. Another note slips out. I pick it up opening it slowly.

'Hazel.
I just wanted to tell you how much I love you. You were the best daughter a mother could ask for. If you are going through a hard time just look up at the sky and the brightest star will be your guide. I love you so much. Always keep fighting and never look back.
-Mom.'

I smile and hold the note close to my heart. I put my vans on and run down the stairs. I open the door, walking out to the night, fall air.

A light breeze sends chills down my back. I look up to see the brightest star.

"Ok. Show me where to go." I softly say and follow the star.

I might be crazy by doing this, but it's my gut telling me which way to go. Who to choose.

I walk down broken sidewalks and pass through some trees. I finally get to a neighborhood.

I can't see the sign that shows the name of the neighborhood, so I just keep walking. I put my hands in my coat pocket looking at the houses.

I see the star shine over a house. I take a deep breath and walk up the steps. Before I knock I try calming myself down.

Breathe Hazel breathe. I knock on the door and step back onto the step. I wait a few minutes before the boy of my dreams opens the door.

I give a soft, warm smile as he smiles back.

"Hayes." I say and he walks out giving me a big hug.
