Recap:
I grab her hand and we start walking back to the house. When we approach half way someone pushes me to the ground and starts punching me.

*Hazel*

I look down to see Max getting punched over and over again. I pull the boy off of him and I'm stunned.

"Hayes what the heck!" I yell.

Max gets up ready to pounce on him but I stop him.

"He was all over you. I told him to back away from you!" He yells pacing.

"Hayes you left me! You kissed another girl." I snap.

"I wanted a break. I didn't want to end the relationship. And we were practicing because I got a movie deal."

"Practicing kissing? This is making no sense."

"Look Hazel I never wanted to leave but I didn't want us to argue all the time. I love you ok? I freaking love you and I don't want that thing hanging all over my girl."

Max steps forward but I put my hand in front of him.

"Why didn't you just say so? I don't know if I believe you with that girl."

"Hazel I'll do anything to prove it to you. Please. I want you back and I never want to let you go."

"Hazel don't listen to him. He left you plenty of times. How do you know this one will be the last? I will never leave you. I'll hold you close unlike he did." Max interrupts.

"Hey shut it man." Hayes snaps.

Max rolls his eyes and I just stand there. They're making me choose? I don't want to lose Max as a best friend and I don't want to lose Hayes.

Ugh this is so hard it's not fair. I don't want to choose. Not like this.

"I... I need time to think." I say and walk away.

I walk back to my house and close myself off in my room.
