The Unexpected Love

That's All I Need

I was woken up this morning with breakfast.

"Here babe, i made you breakfast" Aaron said as he pasted me the tray with my breakfast on.

Ugh....why the fuck does he do this to me? When he fucks up he makes it better by doing sweet things. Everyone thinks hes a creep and horrible but hes not, they don't see what i see.

"Thanks babe" I said as i took the tray off him and started to eat.

Aaron kissed my forehead and started to watch telly.

I finished my breakfast and Aaron took the tray and went into the kitchen to wash up.

I went upstairs and got dressed. I put on some tracksuit bottoms and an over sized jumper. I got my bag and put in some spare "normal" clothes.

I went downstairs and put on my coat and shoes.

"Where are you going?" Aaron asked, protective.

"To get you some beers and to visit my mum" I answered.

I got Aaron some beers and stopped off at Costa to get changed. I put on my jeans and top.

I left Costa and walked to Nialls house.

After 10 minutes of walking, i managed to get to Nialls house.

I knocked on his door and waited for him to answer.

"Leah" Niall answered.

I couldn't speak any words, all i could do was cry.

Niall gave me a cuddle and i burst into tears.

Niall let me in and we sat on his sofa.

"Leah, what is going on? i heard him beating you, i heard you screaming, do you know how that made me feel? it made me feel physically sick. You need to get out" Niall said. What he said was the truth, i did need to get out but i can't.

"I can't, I love him" I said as i sat in pain.

"Love? No Leah, i love you, your mum loves you, he doesn't! He doesn't know what love is" Niall carried on.

"He is sweet, its just no one see's it" I stated.

"He has a funny way of showing it Lea, he is horrible and he beats you" Niall said, close to tears.

"Look at yourself Leah, look at what you have become. You are his own personal punching bag, look at the bruises he leaves you, that is not love" Niall carried on.

"What do i do Niall? i love him" I said as i held Nialls hand.

"You need to leave, have you seen your mum?" Niall asked.

"No, my mum doesn't know anything, she can't find out, promise me you wont tell her" I made Niall promise.

"I have to go" I said as i got up to leave.

"When will i see you next?" Niall asked.

"I don't know" I said, before i left.

I got back home and quickly changed into my tracksuit bottoms and baggy jumper before Aaron saw me.

"I got you your beers" I said as i put the beers on the table.

"Thanks babe" He said as he kissed my forehead. He took his beers and laid on the sofa drinking them.

An hour pasted and Aaron had already drank five beers. Don't ask me how he drank that many because i don't know. He drinks that stuff like its water, it just goes.

"Aaron baby, i was wondering, can i stay the night with my mum at her house?" I asked.

"What? No, why the fuck would you want to see the bitch for?" Aaron said, drunk.

"Excuse me? that's my mother your talking about, don't say that about her" I argued back.

Aaron stumbled up and smacked me around the face....again.

We started to fight and argue.

Aaron got the mirror from the kitchen and threw it on the floor, by my feet. And as i looked down it smashed and shattered into thousands of tiny pieces. I got some pieces stuck into my arms and face.

I screamed and i fell onto the floor. Aaron found a big piece of glass and threw it at me and it landed in my arm.

It took Aaron a few minutes to realize what he had done before he called an ambulance.

I arrived at the hospital with minor cuts and bruises, Aaron wasn't allowed in my hospital room with me. I was all alone.

The nurse had just finished cleaning me up and removing all the glass but i had to stay and wait for the police to give a statement. Was this it? was this the end of our relationship?

I was sitting in bed, crying and then the door opened......It was Niall!

Niall rushed to my side and cuddled me. I missed him so much and his cuddles.

"Are you okay -" "Stupid question, im here now Lea" Niall said as he kissed my forehead.

"Niall im sorry, I've missed you" I said while crying.

"Shhh Lea, im here now, what are best friends for aye" Niall said while making me smile.

Me and Niall were interrupted by the police wanting a statement. Niall had to leave the room.

I spoke to the police and i told them everything. I knew i couldn't live like this anymore and i had to tell the truth to help me get out of it.

After my interview with the police i was discharged from the hospital.

Niall held my hand as we walked out of the hospital, he opened the car door for me and before i could get in, Aaron came out handcuffed.

"LEAH....BABY......TAKE IT BACK! I DIDN'T MEAN TO HURT YOU, PLEASE, I LOVE YOU" Aaron shouted as he was put in the police car.

I looked at Aaron and then got into Niall's car.

Niall drove me home and i finally felt free. I had my best friend and that's all i need.
