I Fell Asleep To The Music!

Its moving day! I can't believe im actually going to be on Broadway. 

9 hours later....i finally arrived in America. 

I got my luggage and got into a taxi to the studio.

I had been sitting in the taxi now for 10 minutes and i had no idea where we were. I really wanted to put 'Party In The USA' by Miley on, but the taxi driver wouldn't let me. 

I finally arrived at the studio. I took my suitcase out of the boot and walked in.

"Hi im Leah, im here for my induction?" I asked the lady at the counter.

"Oh yes, your the Irish girl, we are all very excited to meet you" The lady said in a strong American accent.

"Oh right, well hi" I said in my Irish accent. 

"If you just wait on the couch over there and ill have one of the teachers come and get you" She said as she pointed to the sofa.

I sat on the sofa and waited.

I waited 20 minuted, until finally a teacher came and met me.

"Hi, sorry im late, you must be Leah" The man said as he put out his hand.

"Hi Late, yes i am Leah" I said as i shook his hand.

"Oh um....anyway, my name is Robbie" He said as he shook my hand.

Oh wait...his name isn't late? My bad.

I followed Robbie into the studio and he took me to the main stage. 

"Wow, this place is big" I said as i looked around.

"Yep, this is the biggest Broadway stage in America" He carried on, showing me around.

"So when can i perform on the stage?" I asked.

"What?" He asked, confused.

"When can i perform on the stage, you know, in-front of an audience?" I asked again.

"Oh you have the wrong end of the stick, you won't be performing" He said as he looked down at me.

"What do you mean 'I won't be performing'? im here to perform" I replied, im so confused.

"No,No,No, you are not here to perform, you are here to be an extra, a stunt double" He continued.

Wait....WHAT!! stunt double? Really?

As we walked around the stage, we saw some actresses and actors behind the curtain.

"ARIANA, RYAN, COME HERE" He shouted.

Suddenly, Ariana Grande and some guy called Ryan walked out.

"Ariana meet Leah, she will be your stunt double" Robbie said as Ariana walked towards me.

"Oh right, hi nice to meet you" Ariana said as we hugged.

"Wait...im your stunt double? we don't even look alike" I said, confused.

"Yeah your right, its the hair, don't worry we will sort that, we will dye your hair red and then everything will be fine" Robbie said as he sat down on the front row seats.

"Right Leah, Ariana will perform for you so you know what shes like" He said. I walked over to him and sat on the chair next to him, waiting for Ariana to perform.

I sat and watched Ariana sing, she was amazing. I couldn't take my eyes off her.

After Ariana stopped singing, i had a few questions.

"Um, i have a question" I said as Ariana came of the stage and walked towards us.

"No questions.....wait, okay, one question" Robbie said.

"If Ariana sings, why does she need a stunt double?" I asked, confused.

"Because I act too" Ariana replied.

"So what do i do when you sing?" I asked.

"You do nothing, you watch her perform" Robbie replied.

What? So im not actually learning anything? What is the point of me being here if i can't dance, sing or act, and trust me, coming down from the ceiling on a rope is NOT acting.

My induction had finished and i started to walk to my campus, pulling my suitcase behind me.

"Hey Leah, wait up" Ariana shouted to me.

I turned around and waited for her to catch up.

"You just have to ignore Robbie, we will find something for you to do" Ariana said as he hugged me.

"Thank you, you were amazing today" I said as we let go from a hug.

"Thanks, anyway i gotta go, see you tomorrow" Ariana said before jumping into a taxi.

I got to my campus and i had a room to myself. I wanted to quit so badly but i knew i had to give this ago. 

Will I ever get over this homesickness. 

*Ring,Ring,Ring* My phone started to ring.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Hey babe, its Nialler" Niall said, i heard his Irish accent.

"Thank god, im speaking to someone with the same accent as me" I joked with him.

"Ahaha, hows America?" Niall asked.

"Alright, its nothing special" I moaned.

"Give it time Lea, everything will be fine" He reassured me.

"I know but right now i wish you were here with me" I said, sad.

"I know, i wish i was there with you too but im here, you will be an amazing performer" Niall said.

"But that's the thing Nialler, im not performing...." I started.

"What are you doing then? dancing?" He asked, confused.

"Nope, im a stunt double....for Ariana Grande" I said, embarrassed.

"A stunt double? you?" He asked, shocked.

"Yep, me, i know how embarrassing, i fall from ceilings for a living" I said, upset.

"You will fall amazingly im sure" Niall tried to make me feel better but it made me feel worse.

"I gotta go, ill speak to you soon" I said before we both hung up.

I soon, tried, to fall asleep but it didn't work, there were too many cars driving past my window. I put in my headphones and played the One Direction album. 

I fell asleep to the music.
