The Unexpected Love

My Best Friend

Its been a month. Me and Harry are good as friends and nothing has changed between me and Niall. But today was just weird, i had a bad feeling about today. 

I woke up to a text from Niall.

Nialler

"Alright Lea? wanna come over later, im having a party. Love Nialler xx"

"Sure, see you later. Love Lea xx" I replied.

I got up and had a quick shower. I washed my hair and body before getting out and wrapping a towel around me. I blow dried my hair and then when it was dry, i straightened it. I put on some make up and got dressed. 

"Mum, im going to Nialls, he is having a party" I shouted to my mum from upstairs.

"Okay darling, will you be coming home?" She shouted up to me.

"Not sure, ill text you" I shouted back.

"Make sure you have your keys then" My mum shouted. 

I ran downstairs and got my bag and left for Nialls.

I arrived at Nialls and there were so many people here. I didn't know who half of them were. 

"Leah, hiya" Lou said while carrying Lux.

"Hiya Lou, hiya Lux" I said as we hugged.

"Alright" Lottie said as she came up to me.

"Yeah you?" I asked.

"Yeah, good thanks" Lottie replied.

"Lea, you made it" Niall said as he spotted me, talking to the others.

"Yeah, wouldn't miss" I replied with a smile.

"Can i have a word? in private" Niall said as he held my hand and pulled me into another room.

"Nialler, whats going on?" I asked, confused.

"Its Harry...." He started.

"What about Harry?" I replied, i had no idea this was coming....

"He's....um....got a girlfriend" Niall said.

"Niall its fine, i told him there would be other girls" I said, kinda upset.

"He is coming with her today" Niall said, he felt bad, i could tell.

"here? hes coming here? with her?" I asked, shocked.

"Yes" Niall admitted.

"How could he do that? we broke up a month ago and already hes got a new girl" I said upset.

Niall gave me a cuddle before we heard the front door slam shut.

"We best get back to the party" I said as we let go from a hug.

As i walked out of the room with Niall, Harry was stood by the side with his new girlfriend. Taylor Swift!

"Oh hi Leah, i didn't know you were going to be here" Harry said as he held hands with his new girlfriend.

"Funny, because i was just about to say the same thing to you" I answered back.

"Of-course im going to be here, Nialls my brother" Harry answered.

"Well then, of-course im going to be here, Nialls my best friend" I replied, looking at Harry holding hands with another girl. And not just any girl.....Taylor Swift.

"Leah this is Taylor, my girlfriend" Harry said as he introduced me to Taylor.

"Hi" I said as me and Taylor hugged.

I swear i felt a knife go straight through my heart. I was just going to be nice to Taylor because i know what its like dating Harry and im sure he makes her happy.

Obviously i couldn't stop the tears so i went into the bathroom, i locked the door and sat on the bath ledge, crying.

"Stupid, Stupid, Stupid" I said to myself as i wiped my tears away.

"Lea....is that you in there?" I heard Nialls voice.

I got up and unlocked the door.

Niall came in and locked the door. He gave me a hug and wrapped his arms around. 

"Its going to be okay, i promise" Niall said as he brushed his fingers through my hair.

"Its not okay Niall, the guy i love is downstairs, loving someone else" I admitted.

*Knock,Knock,Knock* someone knocked on the bathroom door.

I quickly wiped my tears and me and Niall unlocked the door.

"Oh sorry, Taylor needed the toilet" Harry said as he still held Taylor's hand.

I looked at Harry straight in the eyes, he knew i had been crying. Me and Niall walked past and i didn't say a word.

The party was over and me and Niall laid on his sofa, together. I rested my head on his chest and he wrapped him arms around us.

"Right Nialler, were off mate, enjoy the rest of your night" Harry said as entered the room with Taylor.

"Bye lad, see you soon" Niall replied, brushing his fingers through my hair.

"Bye Leah" Harry said.

"Bye" I bluntly replied, i didn't even look at him. He had officially broken my heart. 

Niall held me tightly while Harry and Taylor left.

"You got me Lea" Niall said as he kissed my head.

"And that's all i need" I said as i kissed his hand.

We cuddled all night and we both fell asleep on the sofa, in each others arms. 

Every girl needs a guy best friend to help her laugh when she thinks she'll never smile again.

I cannot loose Niall, because if i ever did i'd have lost my best friend, my soul mate, my smile, my laugh, my everything.

I will always care for Harry, even if were not together and even if were far, far away from each other. I'm just glad he was a part of my life. 

But i have Niall and that's all what matters. 

He will always be my best friend.
