prologue

Park Minhee

I had woken up from complete darkness, not knowing what was going on. I completely don't remember anything, at all.

"Minhee? Oh, thank God you're awake!" a lady approached me, crying tears of joy.

"W-who are you?" I asked, confused. My head stated throbbing because of the pain, I realized I was at a hospital. "I'm your eomma, dear. This is your appa," she said as a man walked up, "oh my dear daughter, I thought we lost you."

"What's happening? Why am I here?" there were so much questions flooding in my mind, but sadly, I can't ask all of them at once. All I really remember is my name, Park Minhee, and nothing else.

"You...you were caught in a car accident, then you were put in a coma for 3 months. The doctor said you wouldn't be remembering anything for a long while, but you will someday, honey. I promise."

And suddenly, I felt massive pain at the back of my head, with a voice repeating itself all over and all over again.

"Mianhae, Jagiya. Saranghae. Please don't leave me...please."
