Chapter 16: Mouth-to-Mouth Resuscitation

"Hiccup take a look at this!"
Hiccup ran over to me.
"What is it?"
"It's- a picture!!"
"Astrid, looking at Alvin's personal stuff isn't really useful. Sorry."
"Hm..."
I observed the whole frame.
Hm, guess this really is useless.
"Why did I even pick this in the first place?"
When I was about to place the picture frame on its place, there was a little piece of paper attached on the side.
"Hm?"
I took it out of the frame.
"What in Odin's name is this?"
I unfolded the crumpled paper.
It said:
"Alvin, I cannot accept your offer.
I will not surrender my son to you no matter what.
Kill me or not, you will never find him and the girl.
You don't have a chance."
Signed....... STOICK?!!?
What in Loki's name!?!!
Why would Stoick wrote something like this?
And give it to Alvin?
I ran to Hiccup and shoved it to his face.
"What's this?"
He read it an he had the same expression as I had.
"Oh my- why would dad write something like this?"
"Yah."
"We have to get out of here fast."
"Yeah. The window....."
"What? What window??"
He turned around and facepalmed.
"Ha. I didn't notice that window before..... How stupid of me..........."
"Yeah.I noticed that today at this moment anyways."
He took the bedspread and blanket.
He tied it altogether and the result was: a rope!!
Genius!!!!!!
He tied it to the nail attached to the window.
It's a perfect escape plan!!
"You go down first. I'll hold the rope just in case."
"You sure?"
"Yes....Thats a strong word, lets go with maybe."
My heart was racing when I was halfway through the ground,
since the ship was tall.
The window was located at the back of the ship, so I have to jump in the water.
Why did Hiccup make a rope out of blankets?
The ship's window was too darn high.
I jumped into the cold deep water when I was almost near it.
Probably an inch.....:p
If you probably jumped all the way from the window to the sea, your probably drowning right now.
You won't be able to control your swimming.
You'll drown from the intense splash.
When Hiccup was about to hold onto the rope, I heard the door open.
It had a loud creak.
Hiccup was startled, he had no choice but to untie the rope and jump.
I mean, he can't hide NOW.
He'll be seen.! And you know what he did?
He jumped. All the way to sea!!!
It was so high up.....the big splash wasn't heard from the window....Thank Loki!
Hiccup was-was.....DROWNING!!!
I- I gotta save him!!!!!!!
I swam and swam, and I could see him barely needing my help.

I swam all over to him.........
I reached for his hand and pulled him....... he was out of air and so was I.
MOUTH-TO-MOUTH!!!!!!!!

I quickly swam all over to shore.....
When I pulled Hiccup, his eyes were shut, and he looked pale.
Oh No. Im not doing that again!!
But I have to. To save him.
I looked at him deeply and checked if he wasn't joking again. And he wasn't....
I guess that mouth-to-mouth underwater wasn't effective for him. I was too late!
I put my face closer to his and hurriedly, I did the the mouth l-to-mouth resuscitation. (Or if that's what it is)
The Next Thing I knew he suddenly sat up and started coughing water.
"*ehem,*ehem! Uhgah!!!!"
"Are you okay?"
"Did you just..."
"Yeah. I Did."
"Oh...."
I suddenly fell into his eyes.
And I realized I was in love with him.
I can do anything for him.
I don't care if he's skinny and weak,
What I care is his attitude and creativity. And definitely his Gentlemenness. (NOT A WORD)
We were really far from Alvin's Arena.
The forest is too long for us to travel.
It'll take us 7 straight hours to run through the woods.
We needed to rest.
"It's night time already?" I shout.
"Yeah, we should probably find a cave."
"Definitely!!!"
We ran to the woods.
Just the normal jinx, we didn't find any cave.
We had no choice but to set out a campfire and sleep outside.....
It was dark, cold and other more UNcomfortable things....
"Here."
Hiccup folded his Furry vest again and let me use it as a pillow
"Again? Oh. I guess your too kind!!"
"Nah, just today. C'mon, take it."
"Ya sure?"
"Definitely."
I took it from his hands and place it on the right spot.
I layed down and rested.
I looked above, and the sky looked so amazingly dashing...
The stars were shining and twinkling.
"Ohh...... look at the stars, Hiccup! they're so pretty!!"
"Let me see...."
He layed down right next to me.
"Oh!! Your totally right.
Um, Hey Astrid?"
"Yes?"
"Sorry I wasn't able to get some blankets. It fell to the sea and I passed out. I didn't catch it."
"Nah, don't bother...... It's okay."
"Heh.... the sky really is beautiful, huh?"
"Yeah. I can't wait to live in peace again. You know, i'll get to do the stuff I used to do before this happened. I can buy bread and eggs, I can train Stormfly, teach her new tricks, BEAT YOU in racing,..... I wanna do all of thosee!! But, I won't be able to if this hole crazy thing gets bigger and bigger!!! How are we going to stop this madness!?"
"You tell me!"
"Hm....... maybe relaxing is the only thing we could do right now...."
"Yeah, Maybe...."
I slowly closed my eyes and dreamed o something...... something so..... Unbelievable....
