You're most likely thinking about a sports team or maybe your section in marching band. Well, although all of these things would apply perfectly to that, I'm actually talking about your youth group or your group of Christian friends. You might not have thought of it this way, but you are a team.

When you hear about successful teams and organizations, or have been part of one of them yourself, what is one of the most common traits that they all possess?

The answer you probably gave is TEAMWORK and UNITY. Teams that are united as one not only use their own individual strength to succeed and reach their goals, but also understand what their individual weaknesses are, and learn to lean on other teammates, stronger in those areas, for help.

As a member of your youth group, you are a part of a team that not only allows you to grow individually as a believer, but also as a team that needs your talents to succeed in bringing others to know Christ. Think about your own youth group. Some are talented beyond measure with musical abilities. Others in sports. Some have even been given the gift to preach. A few might not know yet what they are good at, but that's okay! Just know that every part of the team is important and we need everyone on the team!
