JEAN'S POV

"Oh, good, you're here." She said. She was in the middle of the dining room stringing up some streamers and other decorations.

"Yeah, by force." Jean muttered and Jacob nudged her. She grinned inocently at him.

"Okay, boys, come on and help me with this, you won't even need the chair." She said pushing away the chair she was using as a ladder.

They put up the rest of the decorations with ease as Kim and Jean went in with her mom to pick out recipes and food. She chose all the classic things to get it over with. When they finished, she climbed upstairs to her room with Kim.

"So, you imprinted with Jacob?" She asked curiously as they looked over through her infinite music collection.

"Yep, and you with Jared?" She clarified and she nodded.

"Did you kiss yet?" She smirked.

"Yeah." She blushed only slightly and they giggled. "How long have you and Jared been together?"

"About one and a half years, I love him so much." She gushed.

"That sounds really nice." She commented.

"How long did you and Jacob know eachother?"

"We were in diapers together, then I moved to New York for the seven years, and now I'm back."

"Nice," She said shortly.

"Yep." She agreed.

"Oh. My. Gosh." Kim said suddenly.

"What?" She asked.

"You. Have. A. Prada. Backpack." She said pointing at the bag Jean barely used.

"Oh, that." She shrugged. She had the money, she was always on the richer side, and she liked the backpack so she splurged for a day.

"What do you mean that? Is it real?" She ran over and knelt beside it.

"Erm- yes."

"Ahhhh!" She shreiked. And there was some thundering on the steps which meant the rest of the boys had heard it. There was a chorus of 'who', 'what', 'when', and 'where's'.

"Nothing, nothing," She said waving a hand at them and rearranging her many CD's.

"Not nothing!" Kim began again.

"Kim, it's nothing, I have two- take the other."

"What is it?" Jared asked, puzzled.

"Designer bag."

"Oh." They said dumbly.

After a while of Kim's shreiking and excited rants she was dragged out by Jared.
The group laughed a bit and then the boys went their seperate ways to go home. Embry stayed behind and sat in silence on the couch for a while.

"So, it's really happening?" He sighed.

"What do you mean?" She asked.

"You and Jake."

"Yep."

"Just promise me one thing,"

"Depends."

"Please don't go all lovey-dovey like Jared and Kim." She laughed.

"That won't happen. 'Night, Embry." She pecked his cheek and went upstairs to
her room. She changed into some of her pajamas and drifted off to sleep. It had been a long but totally brilliant day. She was dating Jacob Black . . . .

The next morning she slipped into a black pair of skinny jeans and a tank top and put her hair up into a messy bun. She jogged down the stairs to find all the guys awake and ready to go, all bearing sweatpants only.

"What do you guys do about school?" She asked curiously, pouring out some Crunch Berries.

"What'd you mean?" Paul asked.

"You can't just wear sweatpants to school. Haven't you heard the saying? No shirt, no shoes, no service?"
"Well, obviously we wear shirts then. When there's something wolfy going on we miss school, that's all." Embry explained.
"Oh." She nodded. But before she could say anymore, a ring at the door sounded through the house. She spun around from the counter and stared wide-eyed and horrified at Embry. They both ran for the stairs at the same time, he knocked over his chair in the process, they shoved eachother at the foot of the stairs to get up them.

"Woah, what's going on?!" Jared shouted. "Jean! Embry!"

"Shut up!" She hissed.

"We were never here!" He whisper-shouted. They finally squeezed past eachother, but only got halfway up when their mother summoned them down. She shoved Embry down first and he glared at her over his shoulder.

"Don't do that, they are your cousins." Their Mom snapped at them. The twins gulped visibly and she rocked back and forth on her heels. What she said was true, their retched cousins were here. After seven years, she was sure they hadn't changed.

"Oh, Jean!" Her aunt called from the doorway, she put on a look of disgust.

"Hey." She said through clenched teeth.

"Aww, you've grown so much, Jean!" She said again using the name, the guys sniggered since she really had not grown at all.

"Thanks Aunt Gail." She said in the same tone of voice.

"Of course, dear, and you Embry! Still doing well in school?"

"Er-" He choked out. And the group laughed again, Embry had never done very
well in school at all. That was all Jean. "Yes."

"Good boy," She praised and went over to the living room where their mom was.

"Hello, Jean," Her cousin, Vanessa, smirked overly-sweet at her. She had light brown hair with the fakest of blonde highlights and some contact blue eyes. She rolled her eyes at the sight of her.

"Vanessa." She grumbled.

Then she moved on to torture Embry. But behind her was Mike, their other cousin- one of them atleast. The rest were either very old or very young. He was the perv they were talking about, and it didn't matter if they were cousins.

"Hey, Jean," He eyed her quickly, up and down stopping at various places.

"Get away from me." She said simply and he stalked off to follow her Aunt Gail.

She went back over to her cereal, sat down at the table, consumed half, and washed out the bowl. The rest of the day, people arrived way too early for the party Jean wished wouldn't happen.

This would be a long, long, LONG, day. . . .
