Jean swung by her house first to change out of her dress. She picked out a dark purple tank-top and a pair of jean short-shorts and a pair of purple flip-flops. She pulled her curly hair in a messy pony-tail and set off. She walked past Jake's house and knocked on his door impatiently. He came to the door, and gave her an infectuous grin like always. She returned it.

Who could fight imprinting?

"Hey, Jakey?" She smiled even wider at the use of the nickname, and she was pretty sure he did, too.

"Hey, Jean?" He said.

"Have I told you lately that I love you?"

"Hmm, not lately."

"That's a lie!" She said.

"Well, tell me, then." He said scooping her up bridal style.

"You just had to pick me up," She grumbled and he laughed. "I love you, Jacob Black."

"And I love you Jean Call,"

He smirked and pulled her in for a kiss. It was breif and passionate. "Carry me?" She said over-dramatically.

"But of course." He leaned down and she climbed on his back, just like the first day they'd gotten together.

He spun around and zig-zagged across the deserted roads of La Push all the way down to First Beach. She laughed the whole way and he would occasionally chuckle, too. She only stopped laughing to trail a few kisses on his head, his cheek, or his neck.

"Ready?" He smirked.

JACOB'S POV

Ready for it all. Ready to hopefully say yes. Ready to propse to Jean Call. Ready to be let down. Or Ready to be the happiest man in the world.

He was hoping for the second one, but life wasn't always so peachy keen. He had been planning this for a while, he needed the perfect moment, and if he could get Jean away from the bonfire- alone for two seconds, he could do it.

"I suppose." She said suspiciously as she leaped off his back.

They took seats around the monstrous bonfire where they spent so much time of their Summers. It was odd to think that this was it, this was the last time they would be here together. Everyone would be going their seperate ways. Jared and Kim were going away to School in California, Paul and Rachel were moving to New York and getting married, Quil was moving closer to Claire to help raise her. Everything was changing.

Changing for the better and the worse.

Old Quil and his dad, Billy, told the legends like usual and then they sat around just talking endlessly about the future and what it would bring. He nudged Jean's arm lightly, and gave her a pointed look then jerked his head towards the water behind some of the ridgid rocks. She smiled and sighed playfully, but got up and snuck away nonetheless.

Once at the water's edge, she craned her neck up to look at him and he took both her hands in his. He gave them a light squeeze and took a deep breath, getting ready. Ready for it all.

"Jean, you know I love you, right?"

"It's been established." She said, still smiling. Good sign.

"That I'd do anything for you?"

"The joys of imprinting." She said, but she was serious. Very good.

"And you love me, too?"

"Confirmed."

"And you'd do anything for me?"

"Under circumstances."

"Well, there's something I want to ask you."

"Ask away, darling." She teased. He gave a small smirk.

"Jean-"

"JEAN! JAKE!" Some voices hollered from the fire. Leave it to the guys. . .

"Jean, I jus-"

"JEAN CALL! JACOB BLACK!"

"I really want to le-"

"WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU TWO!?" The voices were getting closer. The guys came around the corner and Embry was in front, he saw them and sighed in relief. He felt himself start to shake, of course the big brother ruins the moment.

"There you guys are, we're leaving." Embry said.

"Go away, Embry." He said through clenched teeth.

"Jeez, angry, much?"

"No! I'd just like two minutes to be alone with Jean! Can't you see I'm trying to PROPOSE TO HER!" He screamed finally.

Embry's and the rest of the guy's eyes widened with the outburst and the words said in the outburst. He looked to Jean and then he tipped his head back and pinched his eyes shut, frustrated. Never mind leaving it to Embry, he'd done it now.

"You were going to propose to me?" She said quietly, but there was absoloute joy and happiness in her voice.

JEAN'S POV

He was proposing. That was the confirmation questions, leading up to the main event. The big question, he couldn't have chosen a more romantic spot either. It was right where they went to be alone, when they were kids and when they were current teenagers. It held so many memories, good, bad, and sad.

"Yeah," He half-smiled.

"Embry- you twit!" She shoved his shoulder. He didn't seem to feel it though, he was too stunned- staring between the two of them.

"Hahahaha!" Quil and Paul finally laughed hysterically.

"What's funny?" She demanded angrily. "I swear, I'll come over there and knock your wolfish heads together-"

"No, Em- Em- Embry's face!" Quil choked out.

"It's only slightly funny, now please- would you, erm, I dunno- GO AWAY!"

"Right, going-" Paul choked out and he, Jared, and Quil dragged themselves and Emrby away.

"Get over it, Em!" She called out angrily. "Where were we?" She said sweetly turning back to Jake.

"He ruined the moment." He grumbled.

"No, he didn't. Ask me."

"I can't-"

"Yes, you can. Do it."

"But-"

"Jake, ask me."

"Jean Call," He got down on one knee. "Would you make me the happiest werewolf on the planet, and marry me?" She laughed and shook her head vigorously up and down.

"You knew my answer from the start!" She said and she dragged him up and hugged him tightly. She kissed him with all the passion and love that she could give, even in her small form. He kissed back just as willingly.

He slid an expensive looking ring with a single, sparkling diamond in the middle. It had a golden band. It must've cost a fortune, too. She looked up slightly apolegetic and slightly angry that he would spend that much on a ring for her when they both knew how much they already loved eachother. Which was quite alot.

"Jake, it's so beautiful, but-"

"No, no but's. You're worth every penny and more." She smiled and the tears welled up in her eyes before she could stop them. "Are you crying?" He whispered and he laughed- but not haha, more relieved and happy, and embraced her tightly.

"Ah-huh," She said burying her head in his chest. She wound her arms around his waist and let them fall. "I'm just so happy."

"Aw, Jean, only you." He laughed.

"I love you so much," She sobbed into his chest.

"So much," He agreed, hugging her tighter.
