An Amalgamation of Words

Vessel

When I leave this world, I may not leave much behind
But within this vessel, I leave a piece of my mind.

What a wonderful thing to do, to know I've lived and loved,
Hopefully I don't forget it all, when I leave this Earth for the world above.

Within in these words are all the thoughts from my head,
All the times I've loved myself, and the times I've wished to be dead.

Although it isn't the happiest, it cannot be deemed as sad;
For these words are my salvation, my sanity when I believe I am mad.

If I leave nothing else behind but this vessel of mine,
I believe I will die happy, as these words are just fine.

If I were to live again, and have a way to choose,
I definitely wouldn't change a thing, for there is nothing for me to lose.

I may not have always lived, sometimes I've merely survived;
But this is the path I'm on, and my mind is yet to have died.

Maybe one day I will forget why life has lead me this way,
Why I chose to fight this battle, why I chose to stay;

Upon that day, I'll go back to my vessel and in these words I'll trust,
My life is my choice, and I chose to live, on me life was not thrust.

Despite the low points I reach in life, I will make it through the day,
For all my struggle has turned to strife, and hard work does, indeed, pay.

May you always live your life and learn to love it too,
And throughout your darkest times, know that I'm willing you through;

I know that these are words I wished to hear when my days were dark,
I know that it is fair to say that life is no walk in the park.

But trust in me, my dear, for the sun is yet to shine,
When you reach the top of your hill, you'll realise you've done just fine.

Fine is not always bad, you see it can be positively great;
You can live and love and smile, and replace all the worlds hate.

Please stay with me, and I'll stay with you, and we'll make it through this life;
We will find happiness in spite of the dark, and we'll do more than just survive.
