How frustrating,
Ripped from under your feet;
So degrading,
To feel like you've been cheat-
ed.
So close you could almost taste it,
Less than an inch from your fingertips;
Such belief in it that you laced it,
Yet you're left to face all the hypocrites:
The ones that told you you'd 'never make it' that you weren't 'good enough',
They only said these words because they never had the guts;
Too scared to try and reach their dreams,
So bitter and resentful they now are it seems.
