He filled his lungs as she met new tongues, both just trying to numb the pain
His too little heart made her choose to part, and since then, neither of them were the same;
They'd tell you they'd moved on, but their feelings weren't gone, simply misplaced,
He was too stubborn to return but for her he did yearn, their brains remained interlaced.
