I saw Ariel yesterday. Your parents were taking her to a movie. I went to a movie too. It's been a week, your parents had bags under their eyes, but they smiled at least for her sake.

You know Mallory, my other best friend. You didn't like her much.

She's been helping me keep my mind of you during school and while doing homework.

My grades won't suffer. There's about two weeks of school left before I graduate with her. You were supposed to be there too. They are going to honor you there, the principle called me down yesterday to let me know, since I was the only one he saw you hung out with.

I dropped the letters off, but I don't expect them to be there when I get back.

And I don't expect you to have gotten them.
