I wandered around the city that night.
Thoughts....maybe old memories...kept flashing and appearing in my head.
The good.
The bad.
The better.
The worst.
I knew I was a vampire, but I didn't have the time to get over her like she did.
They say falling out with your best friend can feel like a break up.
And boy...did I feel like I couldn't breathe.
Seeing her act as if I didn't exist broke the beating heart in my dead body.
The beating reminded me of Michael's existence.
It was now or never. I climbed up the fire escape outside of her window. She was her room.
I knocked on the door and she saw me.
We locked eyes and I felt a tear escape rolling down my cheek.
Time froze...or that's what it felt like.
