I talked to my father about what I should do. I messed up her life and took away Ariel's brother.

He told me I had to fix it myself and then I asked my mother how to fix it.

She told me I had to fix it myself, but maybe befriending her would help to fix it. She told me that since I took away her best friend, I should if she would allow her new best friend.

I wasn't even sure if she'd want to see me ever again. It's been two or so weeks since she last saw me.

I knew she'd be heading to the cemetery today and I left the coven and I traveled over to her area.

She was kneeling in front of his grave and she placed the letters tied with ribbon near the headstone.

A single tear fell down her cheek. A sniffle later she ran her arm across her face telling herself not to cry.

The heart I forgot about in my chest thudded loudly, I was dead that was impossible.

It was a single beat, but I knew I couldn't forget about it, it shouldn't beat ever.

In my confusion she left and I quickly found her walking on the street.

"Hi." I tried to be casual.

She punched me. I knew she normally wasn't a violent person as the two years I watched over her told me she wasn't violent.

"Wait up, please."

She kept walking and I did the unthinkable and I reached out my cold fingers gently grabbing the skin on her arm.

That definitely caught her attention as she shivered and turned toward me.

I was stunned. I broke the rule. The coven was already mad at me for what happened, now if they heard about this I'd be dead and vampires can still die.

She stiffed and froze. I froze and we locked eyes.
