You'd never guess who showed up today.
Guess? Nathaniel, no sadly.
It was him, he walked in and sat at the diner's bar and I didn't realize who it was.
I went to wait on him and when I caught sight of his eyes, my mind recognized him.
I sorta freaked out. I went home and told Mallory I felt sick suddenly.
He appeared on my balcony asking if I was okay.
My mind still hasn't completely caught up.
I'll recap it for you.
"Hey, you okay? You left suddenly."
I was sitting in my room and I looked at him. The muscles in his arms flexed as he gripped the railing on the balcony leaning against it.
"Yeah, just felt sick. And then I decided to head home."
"If the deal's too much for you, I can just leave."
I didn't want to chicken out yet, "No, no, no. I'm good with that, just must have been something I ate this morning."
The rest of the conversation was pretty short before he left.
