Right on time, she walked to his plot and placed six letters on his grave wrapped in ribbon.

I've managed to avoid the coven since last week.

I wrote to my parents and told them I'd return home when I was free.

She sat in front of the headstone and began talking to Charlie.

I waited in the shadows until I didn't hear a word. I waited a few minutes and then I stepped out.

What surprised me, laid on the ground.

She had fallen asleep with her journal in her hands.

Day 25

I'm visiting you at the moment, Charlie.

I am glad that I can still visit you, even though youre not here...

A few teardrop stained the page. I closed the journal and since I already broke the rule. I broke it again.

I picked her small frame up off the ground. She weighed nothing it seemed to me. I had not run in a while with someone that was mundane.

I decided not to test it out with her. I walked all the way to her house. I was lucky she left her window open.

I pushed off the ground and landed on her balcony. I couldn't go inside, but I was able to place her on the daybed right under the window that was opened.

I left her journal with her and I sat on the chair on the balcony going over my options.

I didn't think I could ever return to the coven now.

I didn't sleep, but I still closed my eyes trying to remember what it was like.

I've only been like this for a few years.

My eyes opened. My chest tightened.

A single heartbeat.

I wasn't dreaming. It happened again then it went back to normal.

How does a dead man's heart beat?
