2. Prideful

"Hey Kate, wassup? " I said as I settled down beside her at the canteen table.

"Morning, dudett!! Nothing much?" She winks at me.

"Dudett? Where did that come from?" I laughed a little at that.

"My own invention with a couple of other friends! !"

"Yeah yeah, whatever. What did you do yesterday? You didn't pick my call. "

"Oh really? Sorry.." She giggled. " I guess I was off to the temple. I saw a really cute guy with blond hair. Do you know that he is the same age as us? He is, damn, cute. I wanted to talk to him but I was busy with my family. Luckily my cousin knows him. "

I smiled as I see her antics. "You're going to have a boyfriend veryy soon, with you going after every guy you meet. Just be careful! Or I'll punch whoever that breaks your heart. "

"I know, I know. Let's go to the assembly. " She rolled her eyes at me.

The headmistress's speech was so boring that we decided to take a walk.

By the way, we could do this because we are prefects, and no one questions where we go, as long as we don't break rules. Overuse of our authority, I know, but who cares as long as we have fun? That wasn't my idea, actually. It's Kate's. I have to go with it because I'm her best friend. *sighs*

"Follow me." Kate says. "Who is that over there? He seems late to school."

"Uhm... That's the junior you introduced to me a long time ago, idiot. He isn't late. In fact, he is early."

"Oh yeah, he is from afternoon session." Kate says with a disappointed look, as if she really wanted to note down his name as a late student.

"Yeah. I wonder why he is coming so early for."

"Mhmm.. you're too serious, Rue. Let's see if we can shock him by writing down his name when he arrives directly in front of us and shouting that he is late."

"Gosh, Kate!!" I can't help laughing.

He was wearing a green PE shirt with trackpants, and a computer bag, walking towards us like he did not recognize us.

I raised up a hand to say hello but put it back down when he ignored me while Kate shouts , "Ayy Nate you're late!!"

Both of us got ignored as he walked straight pass us as if we were invisible.

"What is wrong with him? He doesn't know us?" I asked Kate.

She replied me saying, " Nah I don't know.. Juniors are shitty these days. Never ever greet them unless they do. Cheer up! "

"Okay. " I tried to smile and watched him go.

I was quite pissed off and decided to not pay him anymore attention in future days.

This really did happen. It's just that I decide to tell you guys like this, instead of monotone description.
But if I'm tired, just expect monotone description. I won't have Nate's POV because I really don't know what he thinks and I don't want to lie to myself.
