The activity that brought me joy lasted for a while, a while, at least.
Then, as everything is, it ended.
Then, it was lunch time and all of us had two hours to spend, if I remember correctly.
And I would've sworn that I could feel a hint of jealousy in Verlac's facial expression as he came to find us in the canteen during lunch, but I wasn't sure, and I was still, happy.
We lined up for our free food, as he came over.
"So how was the activities?" I asked.
"Well, I had no fun. And I think I'm going to have allergies soon. You're so lucky you've got Chaol in your group and I've got no one." he said.
"Well really? You do have friends there, I saw-come on take your lunch." I changed the topic as it was our turn to take our lunch.
I didn't take any as I wasn't hungry. I went on to take three cups of red syrup for me and them, as their hands were full.
We settled down on a table with some other classmates of Chaol. Verlac sat directly in front of us while I was sitting on the right of Chaol, at the right edge of the table.
"You're not eating?" Chaol asked.
"No." I smiled at him.
"Not hungry?" He bent down, eating.
"No." I sipped my drink and looked somewhere else.
"Want some?" He took his spoon and gave it to me.
I waved it away. "I'm not hungry. You, continue eating and don't bother about me." I smiled again to convince him.
"You sure?" He asked again.
"Yes, very sure." It wasn't really that funny but I laughed. I guess I thought he was, caring, and cute.
"I think she doesn't want it because she fears that it would end up so unappetizing like the breakfast just now." Verlac joked.
That was kind of true. The noodles in the morning was so awful both me and Verlac couldn't eat it. Verlac threw his away wihout finishing it while I forced myself to finish it because I saw Chaol eating it like there was nothing wrong with it.
"If there's anything free, you won't see Chaol wasting it." Verlac had said in the morning.
Indeed, Chaol ate it like it was delicious and I just couldn't understand. My expression was this way. "😂😂😂"
I looked at everyone in the canteen while sipping my drink constantly. Chaol's voice made me pay attention towards him as he said "-manners."
"What?" I asked him as I didn't catch the front of the sentence.
"He eats while talking and everything flies out." He said.
"Who?" I was clueless.
"In front of us."
"Where?" I asked.
"He doesn't use cutleries."
I turned to where he was gesturing, and saw a boy doing the exact thing he was saying. The boy was sitting beside Verlac.
I burst in laughter. "Why do you judge people?"
"Nothing. Just saying." He smiled at me.Before I could reply, Verlac said something.
"I'm going to throw this away. It's way too oily and not good for my face." Verlaccomplained.
"Okay." I said as he went away.
